NOT SURE:
1-Same thing happened last year during hiatus, then we picked up2-OUAT is the highest rated show that ABC has ever had in the 8pm slot- also highest in time slot of 18-49 year old demographics
3- Ratings does not reflect DVR play backs, HULU, iTunes, or paid subscriptions— new media changes how shows are rated.
4- Ratings do not reflect viewing in other countries
So it is hard to say what the ratings really means.. … I personally do not know how to interpret the numbers. I have just been tracking them and sharing the information.

Especially when the audience comes back to an episode like “Tiny” which–while good–was essentially a filler. So they decide to watch something else live on Sunday and catch up on OUaT the next day via Hulu, ect. BUT given how great this episode was and that the next few episodes are going to be HUGE powerhouse episodes, I think the numbers will continue to climb.
And yes, as far as ABC is concerned, OUaT is doing VERY well."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 18, 2013 at 10:54 pm #174208MatthewPaulModeratorThe NBA All Stars Game and it being President’s Day Weekend also likely hurt Once and everything else last night. Since people have off today, a good portion of them probably went out last night instead of watching TV. Still, I am pretty disappointed in these ratings. I fear some of the audience really has given up on the show, both because of the frustrating writing and the constant breaks.

I have just about giving up on this show too, with all the breaks etc plus it isn’t very good at all at least in Season 1, we saw Emma and Snow building a relationship and you know where they were going with the story. But this season with the Dr Frankstien Episodes not once but twice, Capitain Hook throwing in now in almost all the episodes and most of the 1st stories with David was terrible in my opinion. The story was suppose to be about Snow White, now we get on Bella, Rumble, and Hook all the time the writting has really gone down hill in my opinion. 🙁 .

I feel what hurt was with the curse broken at the end of Season 1, the show lost the storyline it was built around. In Season 2, the writers seem lost in what direction to go and what to do with the characters they have, not to mention what to do with the new characters introduced. Most viewers I’ve witnessed weren’t fans of the “Emma and Snow trapped in FTL” story arc, too, which dragged out the entire first half of the Season. I think the writers need to take a few steps back and develop their story and characters a bit more. There’s potential that they can improve upon with the end of Season 2 and Season 3.

February 20, 2013 at 2:26 am #174380MyrilParticipantThey waited till May to announce season 2, shortly before upfront meeting, so don’t expect to be sure any time soon. Upfronts are meetings where the networks present their new program for upcoming season to start selling commercial airtime. For fall season the upfronts happen usually in the third week of May.
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯
February 20, 2013 at 4:21 pm #174469Killian JonesParticipantLooks like we got a little bit of a kick up! You know what I’ve noticed is when there’s a really good episode like this past one the episode that gets the kick is the following one not the actual episode so maybe “The Queen is dead will show up with stronger ratings…
