That is good news!!! I think I heard somewhere (lol, probably on here) that ABC put a lot of stock in live +7 ratings.
As far as S,B and T goes: chance are it will increase a little bit 24 hours after DVR has been taken into account and +7 will see it reach bigger numbers, but it will probably be our season low.[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 25, 2013 at 7:58 pm #182242MatthewPaulModeratorI think Selfless, Brave and True’s low ratings were likely the result of just being a poorly received episode. People probably lost interest and decided not to finish watching it. I could blame Palm Sunday, which sounds like a pretty lame fan excuse, but who knows.

Major ouch, guys. Like major.
A predictable outcome if the audience doesn’t feel satisfied or wanted. I mean look at the fans of Captain Hook. They’ve been begging for something to cheer them up and tide them over for weeks, and are just being ignored. Just some little bit of information about Hook, maybe an article about Colin filming….something! I think interviews with Colin O’Donoghue about Hook would in itself, be helpful because it keeps the proverbial blood flowing. They’ve gotten nothing, and so nothing is flowing, things have grown stagnant, and now deterioration has set in. Last night, a favorite character (adult August) was eliminated. Fans were upset, but I wonder how many nerves would have been settled if Bailey had done an interview released after the show, about why he left Once, and about his feelings on August’s story? That’s an untapped resource the show’s powers-that-be didn’t recognize because the foundation of such a need (the fans) has already been arrogantly dismissed as being only a secondary priority.
The writers have an “it’s my party” attitude, and so fans don’t feel respected, wanted, or even needed. Fans want to see this show succeed. We are hungry for information and plot criteria to stay excited and interested in OUAT, but how can that happen if we aren’t getting anything?
Why is anybody surprised the show is in trouble? Maybe K&H have given up on this show. Maybe this is all part of a controlled “shut-down” for a re-focus on “Wonderland”, if they don’t believe that there is further potential left for story material to keep Once Upon A Time active and productive. If this is the case though, and if they approach Wonderland in the same way as this show, how will that result be any different?
I think the suits at ABC need to give that some serious thought and contemplation before committing to any long-term and expensive projects with K&H again.

Colin is one aspect of this show. He is not THE show. Right now his story is very small because it’s so singular. It’s only about revenge on Rumple. This cast is very large and they must serve the entire cast. We’re going to Neverland and he’s Captain Hook, we’re going to be getting a lot more of him next season. But right now he’s not the main story. Nobody is the main story because again, large cast, lots of stories, have to serve many masters, ect ect ect.
The writers have an “it’s my party” attitude, and so fans don’t feel respected, wanted, or even needed. Fans want to see this show succeed. We are hungry for information and plot criteria to stay excited and interested in OUAT, but how can that happen if we aren’t getting anything?
I’m sorry but I totally disagree. Adam Horowitz spends all day on Twitter, I swear, defending his show to the trolls who feel the need to scream at him because their not doing what they think is best. This is HIS AND EDDY’s show. We’re allowed to voice our opinions, but it’s borderline rude the way people attack him. And’s he so nice about it. He is respectful and replies and he doesn’t even have to do that. It’s their story, it’s their show and I want to see what story THEY tell. Was I thrilled by last nights episode: no, it wasn’t my favorite. But Manhattan through Welcome to Storybrooke were excellent. If they listened to the fans and gave in to everything each fan wanted this show should be a train wreck. They know what their doing because, again, it’s their show. There is a mentality that we want the show to succeed but we want it on our terms. I’m just enjoying the ride and I’m grateful that Adam and Eddy have created such a beautiful thought provoking heartwarming show.
Just my two cents.
