Adam’s tweets today suggested that the numbers that count indicate some 10 million people are watching regularly. That’s a lot of us! But I also don’t see where the fear for this show’s being cancelled randomly is coming from based on the numbers…the show’s doing well, the creators keep talking about future seasons, and I don’t think they’re going to pull a Firefly on us at this point.

I think the fear is because of the live viewing. When it’s live +7 days later, it’s 10 million and ratings share holding at about 3.2-3.4 which is very good. But the initial viewing has been slipping. That is what is scary, but I don’t think we need to worry. We’re getting a season 3 absolutely and if we have a solid first half of S3 I think we’ll get a S4 too.

Also: Firefly reference. *sob* Fox should die.

NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” dropped to a season low and ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” to a series low Sunday as CBS won the night thanks largely to NCAA basketball coverage, according to preliminary numbers.

Though CBS’s numbers are approximate due to the nature of live sports, the network currently holds the top ratings spot with a 2.4 rating/6 share in the key 18-49 demographic.

It also leads in total viewers with 10.1 million. Overrun from the network’s NCAA basketball coverage from 7 to 7:30 p.m. had a 4.1/13 and 13.1 million total viewers. Further NCAA overrun combined with “60 Minutes” at 7:30 drew a 2.7/8 and 10.3 million total viewers

ABC came in third in ratings and second in total viewers with a 1.6/4 and 6.2 million total viewers. “America’s Funniest Home Videos at 7 drew a 1.3/4 and took 6.9 million total viewers, while “Once Upon a Time” at 8 dipped to a series low of 2.1/6 and drew 7.3 million total viewers. “Revenge” the following hour had a 1.8/4 and took 6.1 million total viewers.” Red Widow” at 10 was up 20 percent to a still-weak 1.2/3 and drew 4.5 million total viewers.

Just to point out, Nonnie’s post above is the initial live viewings. The lie/DVR numbers are a bit better: 7.35 million and a 2.2 ratings share.

I just post the GOOGLE ALERTS as I get them… I have noticed there is a significant lag time from posting to alert.

I’m looking for confirmation, but it looks like the live +7 ratings for “Welcome to Storybrooke” were really nice. Just shy of 10 million viewers with a 3.3 ratings share.

I personally think that OUaT ALWAYS gets a boost when they have marathons and re runs… less painful during hiatus. RE RUNS give the casual viewers the chance to catch up with the hardcore. I have several friends who start out watching but when they miss a show or two do not get back until marathons or dvd release. OUaT is the type of show that needs you to keep up or you are totally lost.

I really wish they would release divided DVDs … part one of season 2 and part 2. I think the honchos think the whole USA has great streaming capabilities but that is not true. Rural area have spotty coverage that usually cost and arm an a leg (usually double the cost of city TV/ Internet service.) Thus a lot of people do not have access or can not afford the streaming TV/ cable shows.

DVDs’ were split up for the first season. The first seven episodes were released on DVD and then later after the season finished, you could buy season 1.

What they did with season one seems like a dumb idea. Either you have to buy the first half of S1 twice or you have to wait for the full season to come out.
