KeymasterI’m hoping that the fairly decent clip show ratings mean Lacey will get a nice initial view/rating share.

Participantratings for the clip show
ABC Once Upon A Time – Clip Show 1.4/4 5.17
“Once Upon a Time.” When it isn’t in reruns or a clip show, as it has been for about a month, this Vancouver-based fantasy/drama is a steady draw for ABC. It does even better on CTV despite being pre-released out of simulcast at 7 p.m. on Sundays.

KeymasterRatings are in for Lacey 7.28 million live views and 2.1 ratings share. (Just for context, Selfless Brave and True had an initial 7.38 live views and a 2.2 ratings share)
These are the initial numbers. They will go up after Live +Next day and even more after a week.
We didn’t drop a huge amount, but we did dip a little bit.
Here’s hoping ABC changes the schedule for S3 and that improves our numbers."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 22, 2013 at 8:53 pm #187843MatthewPaul
ModeratorI honestly didn’t have high hopes for the ratings to jump back up, as it is something ALL TV shows have to work hard at accomplishing. Maybe not having the full Sunday lineup somewhat hurt Once, particularly those who watch for Revenge but might watch Once before it.The Season finale better get a much higher rating.

KeymasterI’m hoping that over the summer things like the DVD release, Netflix, ect. will help boost the return ratings for S3. I still don’t think we need to fear about getting a full S3, but S4…yeah. I’m also somewhat naively hoping that it’s because it’s been nicer and sunnier around this time of the year and people stay out later and therefore watch OUAT later in the week than on Sundays. Our live +7’s are still decent, between 9-11 million, usually right around the 10 million mark. That’s gotta count for something.

ParticipantWhen I look at the ratings overall, network ratings across the board are lower than they were or have been. I can only think this has to do with cable shows pulling viewers out of the evening. Once is still in the top four every Sunday night for overall ratings and usually higher for the 18-49 age group. It is true the ratings are down in comparison to last year, but everyone’s are down. They are still holding their own on a weekly basis in comparison to what they are up against. I would like to know what cable shows are drawing viewers. Aren’t Game of Thrones and Walking Dead shown on Sunday night as well?
I will say being up against Amazing Race on Sunday night, I had to choose which show when Once came out, but I fell in love with ONCE and so don’t miss it. Last years Amazing Race did not pull the numbers they are this year, either.

KeymasterGoT, WD AND Mad Men are all on Sundays (WD and Mad Men are at the same time but different parts of the year) but they are at 9 and 10 so we’re not up against direct competition, but the popularity of those three shows (all of which are powerhouses) is probably doing some damage.

KeymasterFinal initial and overnight ratings for Lacey….there was no change. Neither adjusted up nor down. Our live +7 will go up for sure, so we’re probably looking at close to 9.5-10 million and close to 3.0 ratings share.
