So is this good? I am not sure what to look for but it seems like we are top three of ABC shows.

April 28, 2013 at 12:20 pm #189276nonnieParticipantI do not have cable so can you tell me what other shows on cable that OUAT is up against… Top 10 / major contenders. Thanks
.
.April 28, 2013 at 1:05 pm #189283RumplesGirlKeymasterThe biggest shows on cable do not air until 9 or 10 pm. 8 pm is still considered the “family” time slot, which is why it’s the perfect place for ONCE. 9pm/10 rolls around and everyone goes off to watch either GoT or Mad Men/Walking Dead (depending where in the season we are). The history show Vikings also seems to be doing decent.

Exactly. And we have been consistent in that spot for awhile now. We’re in really good company with Grey’s and Modern Family.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 29, 2013 at 3:40 pm #189673RumplesGirlKeymasterInitial ratings for The Evil Queen are up. It’s another hard week for TV.
7.04 million views and a 2.0 ratings share. The numbers should go up by tomorrow and then more after a week. Hopefully the amazingness that was last night’s show will bring in the viewers for the finale two episodes of the season.

April 29, 2013 at 5:52 pm #189736RumplesGirlKeymasterI feel confident for a full season 3, but beyond that I am very worried. Our live+7 numbers are still decent (10 million on average) but if we keep dropping at this rate, there will be no season 4.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 29, 2013 at 7:02 pm #189752toothfairyParticipantI know a lot of people will hate me saying this, but I think the ratings will look a lot better next season if they’ll stop focusing so much on Rumplestiltskin for a while. I think viewers may be a big exasperated by too much of Rumple and Belle. The focus needs to be better balanced, than it is. Yes, it’s the writers’ story, but what good is that if they end up with nobody to write for?
Next season should focus heaviliy on a developing relationship for Emma and Hook (nobody else). Hook is complex enough a character to keep the viewer’s pallette wet, and the factor of Neal helps add to the drama. If they do this, ratings will go up.
April 29, 2013 at 7:08 pm #189758RumplesGirlKeymasterTo each their own. For everyone who loves Hook and thinks he is a complex character, there is one person who isn’t crazy about Hook and wants more Rumple or Regina or Emma or Snow, ect.
Personally, I find Rumple to be the most complex character on the show and while I like Hook, I don’t find him to be as exciting as anyone else. I do believe that Hook/Neal/Emma will be relationship angst of S3, but I do not believe that Hook will be solely responsible for “saving the show” and I doubt focusing on just one character or relationship will cause the ratings to change much. This is a multiple character show and they need to spread the weight out evenly. I have no doubt there will be plenty of Hook next season, but there will be plenty of Rumple and Snow and Regina and everyone else."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 29, 2013 at 7:36 pm #189766sarah_tnParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

I agree with you on all points, except one, and only partly. I think Hook is just-as complex as Rumple. That said, Rumple is incredibly complex. Without Rumple, where would Once Upon A Time be? And now, without Hook, it’d be so lonely.
I think you’re right though. Rumbelle (or is it Rumlacey now?) needs to be a part of the formula too, and I think you hit the nail right on the head.
