This is a good thing! It’s in really good company with Grey’s and Modern Family, as the third highest rated show. So even though the live ratings made us all panic, it clearly goes up quite a bit. And after they get the 7+ days later ratings, it will probably be close to 10 mil and probably. 3.1-3.2? We’re doing great.

Does this mean we can all back away from the ledge?

Thanks to all of you who responded with reason and positivity on this thread. I haven’t followed ratings on any show ever, but admit that I am following them for Once, just because the ratings are referred to a lot in these forums. So I HAVE been kind of freaking out, thinking that this beautiful show, which I just found, is possibly at risk. Feeling more hopeful now!

I do, I do. Until next Sunday. Then right back to the ledge we go. 😆

Live Ratings are in for last night. Once actually slightly rose compared to last week, but it sadly didn’t rise as much as much as it could have thanks to Daylight Savings Time. DST is infamous for causing a drop in ratings for all shows at this time of the year. It’s a shame, but I’m sure the Live + 7 ratings with the DVR viewers factored in will see a huge increase.

*sigh* This is disappointing. They really promoted this episode and I think we needed a big boost to make ABC feel like they can give us a full S3. I know the 7+ will increase, but this is a pretty flat number, and our ratings share didn’t increase. Start worrying?

A few thoughts : ratings tend to go up after you kill off a main character. Case in point, Revenge just got a nice boost and before their hiatus they killed someone. Maybe next week will give us a bigger stride.
It is nice that we went up, and I’m DST had something to do with this, but I was really hoping we’d get at least a 2.4 ratings share. Once again Amazing Race beat us.

I’m still blaming The Bible TV series airing on History. It’s directly competing against Once, and it’s getting really abnormal ratings for cable, which is about 13 million total viewers.

It’s a four part series, if I recall, with two parts done. So, we’re looking at it competing with us for the next two episodes as well. And THEN we go into a month long hiatus. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but now I’m super worried.

I think people really don’t like this Season as much as they did the 1st one, also all these breaks kind of wear people down. 😕

I wonder why that is. I’ve thought this season had been very strong, especially the last few episodes. Was it the filler episodes people didn’t like? Frankenstien, Tiny, ect? These episodes from Manhattan to the finale are focusing on the main characters. We really need to get a boost next week.
