Where could Cora have hid her heart?
Do you think that maybe it is possible for it to be in the sea, a nod to davey jones, pirates of the caribbean?
^ I think that this is a bit of a stretch personally. What are your thoughts?

She probably has it locked up pretty tight in her heart vault, in a place where she won’t mix it up with any of the others. Or maybe in a higher-security section of the vault.
December 3, 2012 at 1:56 pm #163475RumplesGirlKeymasterRemember when Cora said she had crossed through too many lands (in Into the Deep)? Well so far she’s only been in WL and EF, which in my opinion is not “too many.” So what if she somehow managed to go to other worlds before Hook appeared and she hid her heart in one of the other worlds. Just a passing thought. Mostly, I think it’s CREEPY that she doesn’t have her heart. Did she remove it herself?!

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 3, 2012 at 2:35 pm #163482frumpybutsupersmartParticipantI think it might have been before The Stable Boy – she’s been pretty lacking in empathy ever since we’ve known her. When Graham didn’t have his heart, he said he couldn’t feel anything emotional, so I’m guessing that Cora removed hers when she realised it could be a liability (“love is weakness”, after all). Her actions are still driven by wanting the best for her daughter, but since she lacks her heart, she has a problem with looking at things from Regina’s point of view, and has no qualms with ripping out the heart of the man her daughter loves.

Perhaps Cora simply removed her own heart to protect herself from Rumplestiltskin’s control. Since he taught her dark art of taking a heart, Cora probably felt the safest thing was to hide her heart outside of her body, likely in her own secret vault in her and Regina’s family home. This may have been long ago when Cora, the miller’s daughter, managed to keep baby Regina from Rumple by correctly guessing his name. She may have removed her own heart then so he wouldn’t try and take it to kill her as revenge.

I’m even wondering if she’s had her heart at all during Regina’s life. Based on how the show’s worked so far, and Cora’s repeated message of love being a weakness – I’m pretty much sold that it was her weakness.I’m thinking young (teenage?) Cora got burned pretty badly as the Miller’s daughter, became Rumpelstiltskin’s apprentice, and (in the lesson on pulling out hearts) pulled out her own to prove how strong she was now. Maybe, her ability to do that, was part of the reason Rumple worked to keep her out of Storybrooke – she’s beyond him in ruthlessness.
There didn’t seem to be affection in her marriage to Henry, so I wouldn’t be amazed if her heart was gone before he came into the picture…

That seems very believable to me. I wonder if King George is the person that burned her, since some people have speculated that Cora might have been the woman that he was talking about in “Lady of the Lake”. Wouldn’t that be funny if some kind of misunderstanding kept them apart all these years, and they finally reunite at the end of this season finding that out, and their happy ending now is the two of them dying together? Aw, Emma bringing everyone their happy endings even villains.
I can’t help but think that Cora hid her heart in another world.
As for where Cora’s heart is, I’ve read a lot of good theories so far, but right now there’s just so many possibilities of where it could be. If she did go to other worlds, we haven’t seen Oz so far, so maybe that will be how they tie in that story. Although I’m not sure if we will see Oz this season, or if they had to push it back to next season.
If not Oz, what about the Netherworld? I presume that story line isn’t finished quite yet, and having Emma go into the underworld to retrieve a valuable item to defeat the villain is something included in many myths.
ETA: I guess I should throw in Neverland too. We haven’t seen actually seen it yet, and if Bae is Peter Pan, they could possibly tie in Cora’s heart being there with the reveal about him being Peter Pan.
December 3, 2012 at 3:35 pm #163499oncewatcherParticipantI think Hook knows, or will find out where her heart is. I think he’ll end up being the one who destroys it. I just hope his doing so won’t be at the cost of Hook. It’d be our loss, too. 🙁
