Did anyone get my reference to Dragontheart and Harry Potter in the initial reactions podcast? I’m thinking that Cora’s heart is in someone else important, possibly even Snow or Regina. If this is true, then that person may have to sacrifice their own life in order to defeat Cora.

In Harry Potter, Horcruxes are possible because the soul is some intangible thing, but in OUAT, we’re talking about a physical, fist-sized piece of someone else (that also glows). Your insides are pretty jam-packed, it’s not like there’s room to keep an extra organ and not notice. It would be great if someone had to die to defeat Cora, though, especially if that someone was Regina.
People’s minds are flying with great ideas on Cora’s heart. I like both ideas, of her heart being in someone else, but the heart is in another world. Although the probability is really low, what if….. the heart Regina took from her mother’s vault and gave to Victor Frankenstein was Cora’s heart? Maybe Cora felt the best place to keep her heart was just with all her other hearts. However, now her heart is beating in the chest of Victor’s re-animated brother, which rumor has it, we will be meeting in the second half of season two.
Personally, I think that would be too convenient for the writers, and I would prefer something more adventurous, like Emma (and a few others) going on a quest through other worlds to find Cora’s heart. Their purpose would be not to crush the heart, but to use it against Cora to stop her reign of terror.
Daniel: but we’ve seen what happens when someone has a different heart. Daniel became zombie non-Daniel. Wouldn’t Snow or Regina have become like that too.

If she did go to other worlds, we haven’t seen Oz so far, so maybe that will be how they tie in that story. Although I’m not sure if we will see Oz this season, or if they had to push it back to next season.
Well, there was this guy in Oz who happened to have a spare heart lying around to give to a Tin Man. Wonder where he got it from. Hmmmm.

I love this Idea, she experienced it first hand. I can’t wait for them to reveal her backstory! I would imagine it is in another world though, that could be true.

I would absolutely LOVE it if the heart turned out to be hidden in an egg in a duck’s nest in a well in a church on an island in a lake xP Now that would be a true fairy tale version.
In case no one knows that one, it’s from a fairy tale called the giant who had no heart, if I remember correctly. A giant took his heart out and hid it in the egg in a nest in etc. etc. and a prince had to find it. I just now realized that in this fairy tale the giant screamed in pain and would do anything for the prince when he squeezed the egg (which had his heart), just like with hearts in OUAT.
