My BF came up with a theory that the heart may have been inside Henry Sr which is why Cora kidnapped him and she has yet to realize that Regina took Henry’s heart for the curse. he doesn’t think the heart was actually destroyed in the fire for the Curse. I think it’s a stretch but I promised him I’d pass it along.

I actually sorta love that idea! Kudos to your BF and his crackpot theory. 😉

Love that theory about Cora’s heart being in Henry Sr.
Cora not having a heart reminds me of the Russian fairtale “The Frog Tsarevena” featuring an evil wizard named “Kostshei the Deathless”. Kostshei cannot be killed because he hid his life force in the tip of needle within an egg which was inside a duck which was inside a hare which again was inside a chest which was inside a large oak tree. (Talking of safety meassures running rampant)
Perhaps Cora did something simmilar with her heart, not quite as eleborate perhaps.
The same theme was shown in the Sindbad movie “Captain Sindbad”, where the villain also has his heart in a safe place. This time it’s a tower surrounded by monsters.Cora seems to know a lot about other planes of existence, might she have hidden her heart in the realm where the wraiths come from or some other “Netherworld”?

Hey, that’s similar to the Giant Who Had no Heart that I mentioned! I had no idea there were more fairy tales where people hid their hearts in ridiculous places like that >w< I'll laugh my head off if she has it in a place like that, and seriously approve of it too.
the theory that Sir Henry has the heart is also good, but I think that Regina took his heart and burnt it. It is for me destroyed, but maybe Sir Henry has two hearts in his body and the heart of his wife Cora is still in his death body.

The way I could see something like this playing out would be…
Cora takes Henry’s heart before they’re married, so she can force him to marry her, which explains why such a sweet, docile man ended up marrying such a horrible woman, (I’ve always been baffled as to how he ended up falling for her, but that would explain it). Cora goes to Wonderland, becomes QoH, and decides that she needs somewhere to stash her own heart for safekeeping. So she kidnaps her husband who has a vacant chest cavity, sticks her heart in him, then shrinks him, and locks him, and her heart, up in a box. Regina is obviously aware that her father has been kidnapped, but isn’t necessarily aware that he was then given her mother’s heart. That would mean that when Regina killed her father and tossed “his” heart into the fire, she essentially sacrificed both of her parents to enact the curse.Of course, then you’ve gotta wonder how Cora could still be alive if her heart got tossed in a fire, but, ya know, she’s freakin’ Cora QoH, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she had enough power to get around that somehow.
I got the impression that Cora had moved her heart to a different location in her own body. Relocating it a few inches, say from the chest to the abdomen, would protect it from direct attack for at least a few seconds, and it would never be beyond reach of her magical defenses.

The question of where Cora’s heart is is an interesting one, I wonder if her heart is what Rumple’s dagger is to him…I don’t think its in Regina’s body though…I think it would be somewhere in Wonderland…or wait crackpot theory, what if wherever she had hidden it Alice found it and when and if she realized what it was she took it to either our world to hide it or to oz. if she took it to oz I am wondering if she was dorothy over there because she lied about her name..that would be interesting..and it would give Cora a better reason for wanting to go back, especially if it happened right before the curse hit….crazy theory I know but it would be fun…
