Tallahassee as a LOST nod, could be referring to the fact that Athony Cooper/Alan Seward was a con man. Ben called him the ‘man from Tallahassee’. If the Tallahassee reference has anything to do with Henry’s dad, maybe he was a con man of some sort (in Emma’s eyes, anyway)…she didn’t speak very highly of him.
[adrotate group="5"]October 2, 2012 at 9:04 am #155097j-wayParticipantAlso… this is just a reminder… Emma said in the Pilot when Regina asked if she needed to worry about a father… Emma said something to the effect, “You don’t have to worry about him, he doesn’t even know.” I wonder if Henry’s father was just a brief love affair… maybe he wasn’t the one chasing her, maybe she was the one chasing him… he broke her heart. She also said in the Pilot that she had a family when she was little for two years. She had a family from the time she was a baby until the time she was two, but the couple had their own baby and got rid of her. She told that to Henry at his castle. Maybe Tallahassee is the place she lived with this couple, the only home she ever had as a child. Given the LOST analogy, this would be a place that gave Emma pain. The place where, like from her parents, she felt unwanted. I don’t know… just a thought, but I cannot wait for this ep!!! I think this will be one of the best episodes of the season!
October 4, 2012 at 9:27 am #155410SlurpeezParticipantI’m so excited for this episode. We’ve learned several things about this episode in recent interviews with Jennifer, Adam, and Eddy. Jennifer had this to say recently:
Are we going to see any Emma flashbacks or looks into her past the way we saw with the fairytale characters last year?
Yes, and actually it was so funny because at Comic-Con, we teased those opening sequences with those characters in the mist, and we showed a yellow bug and people thought that meant that the bug was a character, but it was actually that they were implying that we were going to flash back to Emma’s life. It was their way of symbolizing that. It’s been really exciting and it’s really fun because we’ve now done an episode where we really do get to see Emma 10 years ago and see the differences between what was going on in her life then and what’s going on in her life now and what’s changed for her physically and emotionally. We sort of see the roots of where this all came from for her. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/27/jennifer-morrison-once-upon-a-time-season-2_n_1918426.html?utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false#sb=2727120,b=facebookAdam and Eddy said:
TVLINE | What is Emma’s journey now?
HOROWITZ | After the experiencing the initial joy of finding her parents, Emma struggles as she learns how to be parented. She’s also going to have to come to grips with what it means to be the savior post-curse. She’ll have to reconcile what she thought she knew about the people in her life with who they’ve become, and then navigate a world turned on its head.
KITSIS | We’re also excited to finally get a good look at some of Emma’s backstory before she had Henry. We may even see the origins of her beloved yellow bug. http://tvline.com/2012/09/29/once-upon-a-time-season-2-fall-tv-preview/#utm_source=copypaste&utm_campaign=referralKitsis: And we’re excited also that you’re going to get a bit of Emma before she had Henry. [The flashback to Emma’s past] will be Episode 6 … In that episode you’ll meet Henry’s father. 😀
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/30/once-upon-a-time-season-2_n_1927679.htmlLet’s start with the present day New York opener with Michael Raymond-James. Does that mean that someone got out of Storybrooke?!
Adam Horowitz: That’s an excellent question. All we can say about his character is that sooner rather than later, you’ll learn a lot more about him. We air nine episodes before we’re scheduled to go off for Christmas break, and within those episodes, you’ll learn a lot more about him and what his role in our larger story is.How do you respond to the theory that he might be Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) father? They do look alike!
Horowitz: I’d say that there’s a lot of theories out there. We love the speculation, but you’re just going to have to watch and see! Henry’s father is someone we will learn about this year well before the finale.http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Emma-Snow-1054020.aspxI’m really excited for what’s in store. 🙂

October 6, 2012 at 5:28 am #155660surayyaParticipantI too can not wait for this Ep! I’m loving the whole Snow/Emma/Charming/Henry stories this season:)
They’re giving us so much, it kind of makes me think we are going to have one heck of a major mid season cliff hanger! 😎October 6, 2012 at 5:09 pm #155710chexmex325ParticipantJust saw this on another ONCE website…interesting 😉
“A major recurring guest star role with an option for next season is being cast, a character named Barrett. He’s in his 30s, kind and smart, but also has a very dark side and has beliefs and a way of life that he will fight fiercely to defend.”
http://oncenews.net/new-character-being-cast-for-episode-11/
I think this casting call sounds a lot like they’re looking for an adult Bae/maybe Henry’s father. Since it is for episode 11 my theory is that (like the cast has been saying) we’ll meet Henry’s father in episode 6-Tallahassee, but that we’ll only meet him in a flashback…that maybe we’ll only see what happened between them 10 years ago and then in a later episode we’ll see him come to Storybrooke (or something) as an adult.October 6, 2012 at 6:15 pm #155716hjbauParticipantI think they are going to have Jennifer be the younger Emma, at least i really hope so, so i would think that the same actor that plays the adult present day Bae will most likely play the slightly younger Bae, assuming that he is Henry’s father.

Yep, Jennifer is playing her younger self since it’s only 10yrs ago (much like Regina played her 18yr younger self), so we should see Henry’s father as he is now.

Can’t think of anyone else at this point in time who could be more “major.” Like the others said, if Jennifer will play her younger self in flashbacks, it’d stand to reason that Henry’s father would be played by the same actor in present day and flashbacks too. This makes me think that MRJ will be the baby daddy, and this casting call is for Bae, making them two different people. I’ve gone back and forth on the “are they one and the same” issue too many times to count, but that casting spoiler is swaying me back to thinking they’re two different people…for now at least.
