Lucy’s one single tear (of belief? of disbelief?) woke up Anastasia but seems to have put Lucy in a comatose state. What would wake Lucy up? Who can wake her up? And now that Anastasia is awake what does Drizella want with her sister?

Anastasia has been “dead” just about as long as Lucy has been alive. If Lucy is Anastasia reincarnated, then there’s just one soul between the two of them. This would explain why one needs to be comatose while the other is up and about, and why Tremaine was so interested in “winning” Lucy even before the tear spell became possible.

Wow I like that theory.

Probably won’t be true, but that’s what I thought of when that scene happened.

Anastasia had been ‘dead’ a lot longer than Lucy’s been alive. Ella was about the same age as Anastasia when they went through the ice. At the least, Ella was 18 or 19 when she had Lucy so a few years had passed between Anastasia’s death and Lucy’s birth.
I wonder how Anastasia is going to feel about everything her mother has done. I have a feeling she may sacrifice herself again to make Ella happy.

Could still work. The interpretation has more flexibility in that direction than in the other.

People used to think that Henry was the reincarnated version of Henry senior, Regina’s father, but the same problem applies here. There is no way of showing that they have the same souls and what would be the point of doing that. Even the idea of a soul seems weird in this world where everyone just goes to another place, the underworld, the good place, seemingly fully intact as themselves.
I think this is simply all magic comes with a price and this was the price of this bit of magic. Lucy’s life for Anastasia.

Yup.

for Reasons, it will be the curse breaking via TLK between Henry and Jacinda (rather than Jacinda and Lucy!) that might wake up.
Drizella might want to turn Anastasia against her mother. Showing Antastasia Lucy’s comotose body (to explain what her mother did to ”wake” her) might be one way among several.
