For sure, there is more to Tamara than meets the eye. Tamara probably grew up resenting dark magic for what it did to her mother. Tamara joined a group of likeminded people, like Greg, who believe the price of magic is too high to pay and so it must be gotten rid of. They may believe they’re even protecting this world from magic.
I think this is spot on, but at the same time I have to wonder if they aren’t tempted toward Dark Magic. We know GOAT kidnap Henry and take him somewhere using one of the beans so they have no problem using magic when it suits their needs. This makes me think that their intentions aren't so “noble” as they want to eradicate “unholy magic”

There can be a disconnect between a person’s beliefs and a person’s actions. Just look at Regina, who is in denial.

I think that’s a great point. It adds to the complexity that Regina shares within her own feelings as well Rumplestilskin and how they use/don’t use dark magic for certain people.
I also think that discussion about revenge with Hook & Regina could also be applied to Greg and Tamara. Once they get rid of magic, what then? Does Greg get his father back? Would eradicating magic truly make them feel better?
Keeper of Sidney Glass' Epic Trench Coat and Hat. He's obviously not using it right now. 😉
April 29, 2013 at 7:37 pm #189767PriceofMagicParticipantCould GOAT’s organisation be a modern world version of witch hunters? “Unholy” implies religious connotations, that magic is evil. Regina and Rumple are the two magic users on Tamara’s list that could be described as “evil”. Regina is the evil queen and Rumple is the dark one. People were accused of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials so magic is not exactly unheard of in the real world. What if GOAT’s organisation was behind that?
All magic comes with a price!

That’s why I brought up the concept that “A Land Without Magic” might have had a more magical presence a long time ago, but it has died out dramatically at the hands of people like them. I think about it like this. How did “A Land Without Magic” become “A Land Without Magic”?
April 29, 2013 at 8:55 pm #189786Second StarParticipantI’m loving this Tamara / Owen story, I’m VERY intrigued as to who they work for, what they truly want, etc. It could breath some much-needed new life into Once. 🙂

What Is The Home Office?
In the clip, Tamara talks about sending the magic beans and Regina’s black diamond back to The Home Office for analysis. The creators promise fans will learn what The Home Office is and what they’re after, but not why they want it over the next two episodes.Seeing the term “Home Office” crammed together 3 times in one paragraph reminded me of Jane’s tweet from a couple of months back…
…maybe it’s nothing, but I’m just sayin’, it reminded me of her tweet. There’s no place like The Home Office?April 30, 2013 at 12:51 pm #190005RumplesGirlKeymasterOh. So I could be right that Dorothy is the head of the Home Office? If this actually happens, I’ll die of shock. 😆

If I guess anything right for these final two eps, I may die of shock. 😆
Seriously though, The Wizard had a certain amount of technical knowledge in that he could construct gadgets to create the illusion of magic. Granted, he didn’t have modern day computery technology knowledge, but could what he did know have been the basis for him learning some of the more modern stuff, which could have something to do with GOAT’s gadgets?
