SANDRA! Anything you can tease about the Magic Mirror’s return on Once? Love me some Giancarlo… — Ash
CRYPTIC, MIND-BLOWING TEASE AHEAD: “I think you’re going to see a moment that you didn’t realize you never saw but then realize you really wanted to see,” teases EP Eddy Kitsis. “It’s one of those low-hanging fruits where we realized, ‘Wait, we didn’t see this?! Oh my God!” Now taking your guesses…http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/08/16/bones-chicago-fire-teen-wolf-revenge-spoilers/2/
[adrotate group="5"]August 16, 2013 at 9:10 am #205189RumplesGirlKeymaster“Low hanging fruits….” to me is code for: what happens when Regina realizes Snow is awake from her curse and engaged to Charming.

August 16, 2013 at 9:48 am #205198RumplesGirlKeymasterRight?! Come on, we read and know all spoilers! Regina probably sends her magic mirror’s head into the forest to see Snow sleeping and suffering because it makes Regina happy only to discover that Snow is awake, engaged to her TL, and plotting to take back the kingdom.

In addition to shooting Season 2 of Revolution, a return to the land of fairy tales is coming for Esposito, who shot a return to Once Upon A Time the week after this interview was conducted. “I’m excited to go back,” he says. “I think we have a character who still is very much in love with the Queen and doesn’t understand why he’s been in the dungeon for so long. I’m excited to be the Mirror. The Mirror, to me, is a little bit slicker than Sidney, and gives us clues into the eventuality of what relationships could be on that show. So, I can’t tell you too much, but I hope to keep returning to that show, if we can have it work out.”
I hope that his reference to being locked up in the dungeon means we’re gonna see him in SB as well as in FTL. Honestly, I’d been worried that his scene helping Regina see Snow waking up would be his only scene, which would have been a bit of a disappointing comeback, but this interview gives me some hope.

I had thought of that awhile back but I think that would require Sydney to be around more than just random appearances and NBC is nice but I doubt they’d let one of their leads back to a competing network that frequently.
I hope Sydney is in SB too. In my head, Belle let’s him out of the basement and he tells her some of the secrets about running the town.

It definitely sounds like we’ll see him in SB and as the Mirror, I can’t see why he would mention the dungeon if he’s only going to be around for FTL flashbacks. I also like the idea of him helping Belle, aside from running SB he might also be able to use his genie-ness to help her use magic/figure out a way to contact NL/FTL present.
September 11, 2013 at 9:14 am #209078PheeParticipantYeah they’d have to get him back regularly if they were gonna make him Regina’s love interest. They’ve already done their “love” story anyway, and it was totally dysfunctional. Spoilers have suggested that Regina’s next love interest will be a genuine option for actual love, “if only she can let love in”, and there’s no way Sidney and Regina could have a healthy, loving relationship, given their history.
September 11, 2013 at 9:14 am #209079kfchimeraParticipantI thought the same thing PoM–but RG, what if that is why it is him. If they have in mind to eventually give Regina a love interest toward the end of the series, but not actively during it, his character might fit the bill, and the actor has work to keep him occupied in the meantime. We saw his mirror persona and his weak Glass self, but I wonder about this:
“The Mirror, to me, is a little bit slicker than Sidney, and
- gives us clues into the eventuality of what relationships could be on that show
. So, I can’t tell you too much, but I hope to keep returning to that show, if we can have it work out.”
So when we see the “true” Genie self, patiently waiting for her to realize (cue the Justin Timberlake song..) that he’s been right there all along? What the writers said was, will Regina choose to love, and we know she didn’t really choose to love Genie. She rejected him. She will be in a different place mentally at some point, but Glass wasn’t a strong enough person for her to find him attractive.
The “new” combo version might be more appealing.
