I’m officially afraid for sweet Archie. Not liking that choice of words, “explosive”. Didn’t they suggest that someone major was gonna die this season?

well, i think it’s pretty obvious that the cliffhanger will be about who gets through to the real world and who stays alive/left in FTL.
Yep, I’d say that’s a pretty safe bet. (I’m still reserving judgement and not assuming that it’s actually Emma and Snow who get back.)

Oh no! They said that ? If they kill Archie, the towns consience, I bet everything would go completely bazerk next season.
November 21, 2012 at 12:19 pm #161517evilqueenParticipantThey didn’t say they kill him, here’s the actual quote:
“But before you connect the two, it seems the core four aren’t the only ones with major issues to contend with as season 2 continues. “What I can tell you is that there are some pretty big, explosive things coming for Archie, for sure,” Raphael Sbarge says. “It’s pretty dramatic — that’s what I’ll say. As far as where it goes from there, I believe the Once Upon a Time scripts and the nuclear launch codes are essentially kept in the same location.”But one thing we won’t be seeing any time soon is the psychologist giving his take on Henry’s strange, fire-filled dreams. (Seems like a natural fit, don’t you think?) “I don’t have that on my radar yet,” he says “I agree with you that there’s an opportunity there, but we haven’t gotten there yet. With the curse sort of going sideways, I think there’s ample job security for Archie. Everyone’s falling apart!””
I do agree that if something happens to Archie is exactly like the town would lose its conscience – he would be therefore an obvious target for the villains? 👿
November 21, 2012 at 12:52 pm #161518SlurpeezParticipantI don’t think Archie is going to be killed. Raphael Sbarge, the actor who plays him, also said:

I think that signals that he isn’t going to be written out of the show anytime soon, but he’ll be playing a bigger role in the plot.

Which would be a curious move, because didn’t he get demoted from regular cast to recurring status? But now it sounds like he’s gonna be very involved in a major storyline? Does not compute.

Yes, it’s curious, but it doesn’t mean his character will get the axe. Technically, Eion Bailey was only ever a recurring guest, but August played a tremendous role in the overall plot. Archie just never made enough appearances as a character to justify him being a regular cast member, but it doesn’t mean he’s just going to disappear either.

November 21, 2012 at 1:57 pm #161524RumplesGirlKeymasterI do hope Archie is around more. I really like him.
I wonder if August is coming back for these final two episodes…."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 21, 2012 at 2:20 pm #161526SlurpeezParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

November 21, 2012 at 3:43 pm #161535evilqueenParticipantwhere IS Pinocchio anyway?
I do agree though that all those teases mean that Archie won’t die but will actually play a crucial part in the end. They used the word ‘explosive’ rather to eagerly, if this really meant Archie blowing up, it would be too big to give it away just like that. It’s just a big tease. I think this must have something to do with people coming back from FTL back to Storybrooke, surely they won't just appear out of a thin air but there will be some impressive fireworks OR GEYSERS or things like that 😛
