Granny always strikes me as the old woman that forgets she’s old…hence her crazy cross bow. (I know she needed it in the past for Red but in Storybrooke? Red can control herself why does Granny need it anymore). So, I wouldn’t be surprised if Granny sees Cora and Regina sneaking around at night looking for the dagger and tries to go all vigilante on them. One old lady versus two witches….I don’t care how feisty Granny is…..she isn’t winning that fight.

February 23, 2013 at 12:10 am #174958HappyEndingsSpectatorJust thought I would repost this link to the call sheet describing what the scene is about. Wish I can find that link where a photo of Cora looks like the dark one now does anyone have that one? So I wonder if this is the end of Gold/Rumple instead of Cora or Regina 😕

The simple fact that he is going to have a tender moment with Belle in both separate room give it away for me. This is a tragic like dying scenario. The “undoing” prophecy must happen and I guess it would have more impact if he die just after being reunited with Bea.
Also I don’t think they can keep him as a good guy because he know everything, he is too powerful. He can’t go and start helping out his new made family. We can always have him in flashback and it would show another side of Belle and Neal.
this is heartbreaking but I guess it’s the better choice for the writers. I don’t want Rumpel coming and say to people “hey you know that deal we made well it was for …”.
Maybe a less powerful Rumpel would work or a memory erased but they sadly they have to get ride of him for the sake of the plot.I eat my hat if I am wrong 😛
February 23, 2013 at 12:57 am #174966angiebelleParticipantI disagree. I don’t think Rumple is going to die…he is too big a part of the show, too important and interesting of a character to be regulated to flashback only. Now we might have a case where he almost dies or is thought to be dead but then isn’t, but I’ll be shocked if they actually kill him for real. This is a show about hope and happy endings. Him dying would turn the show into a Greek tragedy type story.
February 23, 2013 at 1:08 am #174967HappyEndingsSpectatorExcept the fact since Cora has the dagger, I am sure Rumple/Gold would not want to be controled by her did you check out the link on the call out sheet? ❓

I think it will be Cora. I’ve been speculating that she wouldn’t make it to the season finale, and that the rest of the season will deal with Greg and the outside world. I think Regina will kill Cora, hopefully by crushing her heart (once she finds it…)
Let’s hope so. I really am growing tired of how much manipulation Cora gets away with, and I want Regina to open up her pretty eyes and face her mother once and for all. I hope the reason for Regina killing Cora is to protect Henry. I can envision a scenario in which Cora has the knife to control the Dark One, she will use it to try and harm Henry, but Regina will intervene by destroying the Dark One’s knife, thus saving Henry and ultimately undoing the Dark One’s curse.
Pleeaaaase. Like the way you’re thinking! To save Henry…

He is too much of a major character, there is more to his relationship with Belle to explore, he is loved by many fans therefore killing him will lower the ratings and cause havoc for them, and there is more of his story to be told.
The writers aren’t just people who decided to write the episodes for a popular tv show who have no experience. They are very experienced writers who know how to please the audience and they keep an eye on the fans’ feedback and reactions. I have a friend who used to write for a tv show here in Australia and I asked her if she actually keeps an eye on the audiences’ feedback and she said that is one of the most important things to do. She said that she has to keep an eye on the audiences’ reaction (which she can tell from ratings, and online feedback etc.) and she takes that into account when writing.
So obviously they are not going to do the very opposite of what the fans are saying – if they did then the show won’t last.As for the character killed. I think it isn’t someone important such as Regina, Emma, Snow, David etc. I think it may be Cora, because she isn’t a series regular. If you make someone a series regular, such as Hook, then that means that you won’t kill them off. You may kill them 3-4 seasons from making them a series regular, but you never do it straight away. So since Cora isn’t a series regular (only a guest star), then that means that they plan on killing her this season. So it is very possible that it is her.
As for Granny. I think that may be possible. She is very loyal to David and Snow, so she may die trying to protect them. Or maybe Red help Snow/David so Granny dies protecting her.
Belle- Unlikely. There is still much of her relationship with Rumple to explore, as well as the whole amnesia thing.
Archie- Possible. There isn’t much of his story to tell. He is pretty much just a loyal person to the ‘good’ guys. But I feel like they left that whole Regina/Archie thing hanging – so I feel as if they may be going back and explore a possible friendship between them. I do like Archie, so I’ll be upset if he does die.
August and Geppetto- Unlikely. There is a lot of catching up to do between August and Geppetto, so killing one or both of them off now doesn’t seem right. August is needed to the whole Bae/Emma thing but Geppetto isn’t really needed (unless he has to build something). I still want to see some bonding between them though.
Dwarves- Unlikely. The 7 dwarves have to be the 7 dwarves. I’d be very surprised if one of them were killed. I know that the writers don’t actually stick to the original fairytales, but killing off a dwarf so there are only 6 doesn’t make sense. However I have been wrong before, but still unlikely.
King George- Possible. I don’t know if King George is considered a ‘major character’, but despite that I think it’s time for him to go. With all the trouble he has caused the ‘good’ guys I don’t see why he should still hang around -he’s story is done. He may team up with Cora/Regina and may be killed in the process of getting the dagger.
Dr Whale- Maybe. There’s still much to tell with this new thing with Red, but it could be possible that he may die. If he did though it would break Red.
Blue Fairy- Unlikely. Unless Blue was evil (which doesn’t seem like she is now) I doubt that she would be killed. I think that when the big war begins (I don’t think that this upcoming wat with the dagger isn’t the great war) she will be fighting with the ‘good’ guys.
Anton- I keep coming back to Anton. I am worried that he may be killed, but if he is going to be killed off, then I don’t think it will be until he reunites with Emma. It would be sad for him to go though, I really like him. But it may be possible that he is killed whilst protecting someone, because he does seem like the heroic type.
Anyway, just thought I’d give my opinion on some characters, because it seems like some people are starting to get worried 🙂

According to Michael Ausiello and Matt Mitcovich, There is a sizeable death in 2×16 The Miller’s Daughter, my bets are it’s Cora or Hook, probably Cora considering what Barbara Barnett said about Regina has a moment of utter happiness and a moment of utter devastation. What if both moments are one in the same? The moment She kills Cora?

If Captain Hook is the one who dies, you guys probably won’t see me on the board anymore. I know he’s just a tv character, but I’ve become very fond of him, and feel rather attached. It’s a situation where I would have been better off if they’d never introduced him at all, because Once losing Hook would destroy the rest of the show for me. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it anymore.
February 23, 2013 at 2:28 am #174986mich7ParticipantAs for not killing off series regulars…they killed off series regulars left and right on Lost and OUaT may not be Lost but since they’ve done it before I don’t think it can be ruled out because they’ve proven they are not afraid to do it…with that being said, personally I think the original five are probably safe along with Henry…leaning toward Cora unless this winds up being like the Archie thing and we find out that whoever dies isn’t really dead in some sort of twist.
