I also have this scene playing in my head where Emma and Bae reunite and everyone is happy and she introduces him to Henry and then she finds out he is Rumple’s son and freaks out…lol. idk I think that would be funny. But if Cora were to go after Henry and Bae is Henry’s father, Rumple would probably go on the good side and fight against Cora with Regina and Emma to protect Henry.

It may even be finalised material: Cora and/or Hook goes after Henry, and then the Charmings, Regina, AND Rumple all team up to get him back. That would be EPIC. And Henry being Bae’s kid would be the only way it would work. After all, the drama doesn’t start with Rumple until someone makes it personal for him…

I do wonder how Gold would react to all of this. He’s actually kind of nice to Henry in season one…the only person he’s actually nice to without being sarcastic or having an agenda. I’m hoping he starts to recognize mannerisms that Bae had as a child, but that’s just wishful thinking. Maybe some offhand comment from Belle about Henry will trigger something. But like I said, that’s not going to happen.
I do hope Henry’s dad shows up in Storybrooke before Emma comes back. I can imagine him seeing the Bug, hearing the name Emma scattered around town, maybe from Henry, and putting everything together. There are going to be major fireworks, and not the romantic kind, when Emma and her baby-daddy meet up once again. I can’t wait! I’m a Rumbelle fan, but I’m beginning to have Swanfire take over in my obsession. 😎

Poor guy. I wonder if he even knows what he’s going to find in Storybrooke. His estranged father, his long-lost love, the son he never knew he had, or the pirate who ran off with his mother/is seeking revenge against his father/flirting with his ex. That or an evil, shape-shifting witch who probably wouldn’t mind ripping out his heart.
This is why I hope he has a friend in August, who was slated to return for this episode. After all he's been through, he shouldn't walk into Storybrooke blind. Plus, I think August might be on a redemption quest to get his humanity back – maybe he hopes reuniting Rumple with his son will convince Rumple to make him human again. I don't have proof for this, of course. Just thinking out loud.
As for the reactions, don’t forget about Charming. I can see him finding out and lunging at Gold for some reason… 😕

I like the theory about Baelfire and August knowing each other, since I think it’s very probable that August is the one who sent the carrier pigeon to “Neal” (who I think could be Bae). I also have a feeling that “Neal” already knows about Emma and the curse. “Neal” didn’t seem that surprised to receive a carrier pigeon carrying a postcard with cryptic message “broken” written on it. Even if “Neal” doesn’t yet know about Henry, I have a feeling he already knows all about Emma being the savior, because I think August told him. August was supposed to be Emma’s guardian, but he let her down. I think August was trying to atone by helping Emma believe. Maybe “Neal” was in on the plot, too."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

I hope he appears in a lot more episodes after the winter break.
But I think the biggest reason that I want Bae and August to know each other is that there seems to be a lack of male friendships on this show. (Is it just me?) I think the closest we’ve probably gotten is the 7 dwarves…Jiminy+Geppetto… or maybe Rumple+Charming. But otherwise, there is 0 male bonding time. And whenever a friendship appears on screen, it offers a unique opportunity for the characters to express what they’re thinking to the audience (like Gold’s confession in the Crocodile about Belle.) So I’m surprised there is so little of it, even just as a dramatic tool.
Back to Mystery Man,
I think the clue about why he left Emma is in the casting call for Jack. “Running from his past in a land full of danger.” So I really wonder if something about Emma’s connection to FTL is what drove him away, or if it was something from his more recent past as a thief. (I’m kinda assuming he’s Bae here. Sorry :?) I’m leaning towards the first. Maybe he found out Emma’s story (like he tried to find her parents for her, because he wanted her to be happy) and found out where she was from or … found Storybrooke? If he’s Baelfire and found out his father was SB (but Gold was cursed at this time and wouldn’t have recognized him)…THAT could have spooked him. I think it makes sense that he would leave Emma at that point, not sure whether to get involved with FTL and his past again.

We’ve got a broship between Rumple and Jefferson now, come on. They are like, Brotp. Even if Frankie tries to get between them:
October 30, 2012 at 5:50 pm #158659midnight drearyParticipant^OMG! That is brilliant. 😆 I hope we get more scenes between them this season.
October 30, 2012 at 5:51 pm #158660melliemdParticipantUgh right?! They are all so fantastic together. I want them to start having a weekly poker night, not gonna lie.
October 30, 2012 at 5:53 pm #158661snowfallsParticipantHa ha! The evil trio. I hope they all team up in Storybrooke at some point. That would be fun to watch. 😀
