the clothing does not add up! let’s say that storybrook present is somewhere between 2007 and 2012. This means she should be wearing clothes from the late 90’s early 00’s. The kind of look she is sporting was trending two-three years ago. Hipster glasses? Com’on, no one wore those ten years ago. I hope we are wrong and this is not a flashback from 10 years ago, because if it is, there has been a serious mistake in the wardrobe department.

Her baby-daddy could be in town, Gold’s got a girlfriend, Charming is acting Sheriff, they’re mining for pixie dust, Regina is renouncing her evilness for now, and the library is now open. So much is going on since she’s been gone.
Right! She might spot Gold having a burger at Granny’s.
It’s funny – but Snow and Emma might panic, thinking they’ve ended up in some freakish alternate reality, and that the real Storybrooke is somewhere else! Haha.

I do agree, that the clothing is a bit off for Emma. I’m around Jen’s age, and they would have been better off putting her in flannel, doc martens, and jeans. God, it was so easy to dress in the 90s in high school. But, I do admit to having a pair of glasses just like Emma’s in high school. But leggings were not in fashion. Tights, yes…leggings, no. But I live in a cold-weather state and tights are always in fashion.
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.

Interesting observation. I hadn’t thought about that.
October 23, 2012 at 7:50 pm #157861elleParticipantEmma actually does look pretty young–Ginnifer Goodwin and Lana Parrilla were able to play their teenage selves, and Jennifer Morrison look great in the photos. The clothes don’t really bother me–they make Jennifer look younger. 🙂 The Mysterious Man may look younger here, but he still looks much older than her.
Emma looks so happy and comfortable with this man, it is almost a different woman that we are seeing. Someone young and sweet and a bit more open.
I have to admit I am hoping that the father is not Baelfire. Henry being the grandson of Rumpelstiltskin as well would put him in more of a awkward position–his adoptive mother being the Evil Queen already is conflicting for him.

This all seems very random. About Emma’s bug, it is not herbie. Just for some reason people thought that and they said it wasn’t herbie, but meant that they were going to show Emma’s back story. Also i was wondering if the mystery man comes into town, since we now know he has been in Emma’s bug, if he will see Henry in it and make the connection. Since they already showed Henry sitting in it thinking about Emma.
Actually the bug IS indeed Herbie- in an interview approx 3weeks H&K outright stated the bug is indeed Herbie 🙂
I remember posting about it in another E6 thread. The interview came out around the same time as the 1st photos of Emma’s bug in Portland. The interview is linked in the post I made 1st on it &/or in 1 of the interview threads on these forums.October 24, 2012 at 1:15 am #157884PheeParticipant@Marilou wrote:

I dunno, I think the clothes are fine. I asked myself, “Would she blend in in an ep of 90210,” and answered yes.
October 24, 2012 at 2:01 am #157887bfilipeParticipantThis definitely is a flashback from when she was younger because she is getting arrested. My question is if she was pregnant with henry before going to jail why doesnt she have a baby bump? or was she in jail for 9 months? what could she have done that cost her almost a year in jail?!

I agree, the clothes do make her look young but its not the right era. people did not dress like that in the late 90’s… just ask the Spice Girls
