I jumped up and down when the big reveal finally happened 🙂
Loved every part of EVERYTHING so much. Esp loved Rumple’s flashbacks. Wow. Those scenes got anti-Rumple friends of mine on board with Rumple and on board with Nealfire. That was a miracle. The scene where Nealfire keeps asking about Henry. Wow. The acting. So good.
I just WISH there was a way for Rumple to help Nealfire see everything that led up to him being the Dark One. That short short convo was so painful for me to watch. I just want Bae to KNOW EVERYTHINGGGG.
And Emma, you KNOW she still loves Neal but she IS hurt and she is definitely putting up that wall.
I hated Henry telling Emma she was just like Regina. In his heart of hearts he knows that’s not true. SHE TRIED TO KILL YOUR MOM DUDE. That choked me up big time. I thought it was uncalled for even by the writers but I understand the point they were trying to get across.
So many awesome quotes in this ep too!
This wasn’t organized at all. Sorry. 😳 😆[adrotate group="5"]Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.

He knows why his father became the Dark One. What he didn’t like was how his father was killing people left and right and becoming more power-hungry. And he felt tortured being abandoned by his father.

Emma and Neal having their face-to-face talk. I am a bit upset that Neal is not that guilt-ridden about what he had done to her, but I do like how Emma had a bit of a chance to let out some of her pain and frustration.
Yes, I’m a little surprised by that, but I think that were several reasons for that. I do think he still feels extremely guilty, but there was already so much going on with the episode that they didn’t want to add more SwanFire angst to the mix. There were more important issues that needed to be dealt with first like Bae with his father, and everyone finding out that Henry’s father was Neal.
Plus, I think for Nealfire, since we got confirmation from him that he’s been on the run from his father his whole life after what his father did, I can’t blame him for the situation with his father being what he was thinking about more than his issues with Emma. He probably figures that there’s no chance there anyways, so he was in self preservation mode. Although it did give hope to my SwanFire heart that he came back to confront his father to make sure that Emma was safe, and he stepped in when his father started threatening Emma.
Rumpelstiltskin injuring his own leg–I sorta figured he would soon find a way to leave, but it was still heartbreaking to see him have to do the deed.
Yes, and while I don’t agree with Milah’s disgust towards her husband, I think it’s a little bit more understandable. I mean it’s one thing to be injured in the war, but to do that to oneself especially after being happy about going to war and everyone in your town knowing about it is quite another thing altogether. Although I think she was still heartless to poor Bae when she just handed him over to his father and acted like she was suddenly repulsed by him too.
The whole family reunion–Neal seeing Henry, Henry learning Emma lied, Rumpelstiltskin realizing who Henry really is, Emma having to tell she lied, and Henry hurt by it all.
I really loved Neal telling it straight–his father abandoned him in a world alone, with no one. And what was even worse was that his father still didn’t learn his lesson–he actually talked again about magic (loved how exaserated Neal looked) and how he could turn the clock back until his son is fourteen. Neal was right–his father still didn’t learn his lesson. He was still using magic for everything.
Yes!!! Definitely my favorite parts of the episode. All four actors were just brilliant. They played off each other really well. I can’t wait to see the flip side of this scene someday with all four finally making inroads with each other and coming together as a real family.
Leave Favorite Moments
Greg spying. Seriously, why is he so interested? I get that he was freaked out about it, but it just seems forced.
Yes, forced is a great word to describe Greg’s reactions. I don’t really get the big deal about his video either. Maybe it’s because it looked so fake anyways, and there’s tons of videos out there on YouTube of videos that have objects floating around that actually look more realistic, that I’m jaded by this subplot so far.

Oh, I love that scene. I had actually been worried that Rumpelstiltskin would whack Emma with his cane–he seemed pretty close to hurting her–and then Neal comes in. That was awesome to see. 🙂
With Milah, I swear she is more of a plot-device. She is just around to make Rumpelstiltskin more sympathetic. And I wouldn’t mind that, but her quick reactions bothered me. She fears her husband going to war and dying a horrible death, but when he comes back alive, she gets angry. It seemed a bit too quick for her to suddenly hate him.
With Greg, I don’t really get why he would want to stay. He sees a man throwing a fireball and sees a woman levitating objects around. Does he really want to stay in a dangerous town? All to investigate? Wouldn’t he want to leave quickly?

Well when he was sharing the video on his cell phone, I said to my husband, “Here come the Men in Black”.

The roots. Before he was a coward. I know he said he knew his papa was a good man at one point but even so he still thought as a good man he was still a coward.Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.

I’d have to say that was my dislike, as there wasn’t any moments that I thought of as bad (other than Cora living up to being Cora), it just felt like more of a fuller episode for is all.
Liked was Emma & Snow’s ph conversation, Emma & Neal moments & Snow & Charming ‘thanksgiving’ conversation 🙂

I know he said he knew his papa was a good man at one point but even so he still thought as a good man he was still a coward. His problem wasn’t (from what I can gather) that his father was a coward- it was, as was pointed out, because his father was going around killing people for pathetic reasons, just because he could- he had turned evil & in Bea’s mind, Rumple gave his love of Bae up, in order for powerful/evil magic. He knew his father loved him BEFORE he became the darkone, it was Rumple’s actions afterwards that destroyed Bea’s trust/love of his father.

He was right–his father kept going on and on about hwo he suffered, but Neal was abandoned. His father let his hand go–that (for Neal) stays stronger with him than the good times. Remembering every night before he goes to bed–remembering how one minute his father held onto his hand, and the next minute, he let him go.
February 18, 2013 at 5:53 am #173955theeviloneParticipantI loved the episode, there were a couple of times in which I needed to run out of the room because it was too much. I loved, loved, loved the episode:
Most Favorite: Bealfire being Henry’s dad, when Emma had to tell Henry the truth, when Henry told Emma that she is just like Regina 😀 , sorry but I am tired of people acting all high and mighty so that was a good feeling. Hook getting knocked out by the Royal duo 😆
Least Favorite: Rumple breaking his own leg (I ran out of the room at that point) 😯 , anything dealing with Milla (still hate her) 👿 , and Bae refusing Rumple (heartbreaking) 😥
