I have major doubts that Rumple will actually go through with trying to kill his own grandson. He is fiercely loyal to family.
It kinda bothered me that Rumple offered to make Bae young again and tried to fix things with magic…we had a more heartfelt reaction when Rumple thought August was Bae last season. Back then, he promised no more magic.

Hm.. He hates his father, killed his wife and let his son fall in a bottomless hole to stay safe himself 😕 wouldn’t exactly call it that, but maybe thats just me 😉
I loved the way Carlyle delivered the line ‘Then I will just have to kill him’ and then the last look on his face after he looks out the window at Henry.. He realises HE is the boy the Seer talked about and getting rid of that pesky little problem wont be as easy as he thought.
I loved and hated the Seer- those eyes in the palms are just so –Yuirck! =P
I loved Bealfire- just as we remember him. Some people have argued that they don’t see how the brave child Bealfire could be the same person as the grown up scruffy Neal, but I dont see why not.. I think he is perfect in the part.

That’s the agonizing trouble I had with the reunion scene. It was that much more painful because of how Rumple acted when he thought August was Bae. 😥
Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.

My least favorite part was Regina magically knocking out Belle…reminded me too much of Hook knocking her out in the tower.

Yes…but he didn’t have magic then…much easier to give up something you don’t have than something you do have especially when you’re addicted to it.

That’s true. I think Rumple is going to learn the hard way that some things can’t be fixed with magic. Belle’s memories and his relationship with Baelfire being two such things.
All magic comes with a price!

When he first thought August was Bae, that apology was from a man who hadn’t used magic in decades. He was more clear-headed. He was able to live without it. Now he has his magic back. And as much as he loves Bae, he’s loving Bae as Rumple and not Mr. Gold, a man without magic. The taste of magic again is like poison. Sad that the only time he was willing to promise Bae no magic(and actually follow through, I mean, unlike the portal) was when it wasn’t even really Bae.
(Just saw your reply Mich 7 after I wrote this but wanted to still post it.)

I’m not too happy with the episode. I purposely avoided any boards after watching it last night so I could wrap it all up in my head, yet I still have very mixed feelings.
Yes, I liked the writers finally explaining us the past of the Dark One and closing one of the chapters we were so curious about. I also liked the reveal of who Bae was – Neal or not, it was going on for so long, I just wanted it to happen and be done with. I was beginning to think the writers will just go the ‘LOST’ way and just keep adding questions without answering any but in this episode, finally many things were dealt with.
However, I’m not at all impressed with Neal being Bae and I hope there will be more to it.The things I didn’t like were the events back in Storybrooke. Regina used to be my favourite character. ‘used to’ because seeing what’s happening to her right now is just making me sick and her actions are just so irrational. Not to mention Henry’s statement “You’re just like her, Regina” – I’m sorry, writers, but this is just an 11-year old boy. He absolutely hates Regina and seriously, this hatred is just too much for me to take in the light of him being so OK with Bae leaving them in the first place. He easily forgives him while he’s so hurt by Emma’s lie?
And Greg, please, get out of this town, you are a bore.
I have to agree with this person too.
Henry’s comment was way out of character it seem to me. After talking with Snow, I thought Emma would have told Bae about his son. I really didn’t like the idea that Bae was Gold’s son or now it looks like Peter Pan. 😕

This bothered me too but I think this is Rumple’s great character flaw. He sees magic as an easy way out. It’s the crutch he can’t walk without, and while he is trying to change, it’s super hard for him. So when Belle lost her memories, his first instinct was magic with TLK and enchanting Chip. It didn’t work. So now to get his son back, his solution is magic and taking away his memories and making him 14 again. Magic is the easy path for Rumple. What he really needs to learn is that magic is not the answer to these problems. It’s going to be long and hard and difficult and maybe it won’t work. But magic can’t be the answer for Rumple; especially with NealFire seeing as that’s how he lost him in the first place.

BUT the writers usually bore us with prolong inaction until they blow us away with a great plot / story….
RED
DR WHALE
YES even Tiny
They need to get us use to the character before they put him into action
Greg may be discharged from the hospital but his car needs to be repaired… Have you noticed he has a recent SUV while everyone in SB is driving a clunker / antique car.Nonnie…
