Just talking with the hubs, trying to make sense of Henry’s reaction. We thought maybe its his genetics coming through a bit. Think about how much Rumple hated people lying to him. He didn’t even have the whole story and went off on Belle multiple times. Both sides of his family have a bit of a tendency to overreact about lies even if those people aren’t even lying. Even if they so much as think people are lying to them.
Doesn’t make his reaction any better but… a bit of an explanation I guess. I’d love to see Nealfire talk some sense into his son 😉[adrotate group="5"]February 18, 2013 at 5:30 pm #174109nonnieParticipantI loved and hated the Seer- those eyes in the palms are just so -Yuirck! =P
I guess you never saw any 1950s sc fi or monster movies…. they were always creepy looking characters.

And Greg, please, get out of this town, you are a bore.
BUT the writers usually bore us with prolong inaction until they blow us away with a great plot / story….
RED
DR WHALE
YES even Tiny
They need to get us use to the character before they put him into action
Greg may be discharged from the hospital but his car needs to be repaired… Have you noticed he has a recent SUV while everyone in SB is driving a clunker / antique car.Nonnie…

.I think Greg will only become important once we dispatch with Cora. And I keep going back and forth on when that will happen, before the end of the season or at the very end of the season. My first instinct says before the end of the season. So once Cora is dealt with, then suddenly they turn around and Greg has broadcasted to the world what’s going on in this town. This is what will lead to the season finale that they HAVE to go back to FTL.

I loved that Nealfire told Rumpel exactly what was on his mind. Rumpel needed to hear it. Poor Rumps was under the delusion that he could just solve all his problems by turning Bae back into a little boy again, but too much has happened. Neal is a completely different person now. My heart broke for both of them.
I liked how Neal referred to magic as “crap” multiple times. Poor dude has been through so much and tried to rid himself of it, but it keeps finding him. He’s got this old soul, weariness about him that I really like.
I’m hoping that this is just one big trick on Regina’s part. I’d love for it to be revealed that she was secretly playing her mother and at the last minute, turns the tables on her.
This is my hope too. I’m not even an EvilRegal, but I’m holding onto the hope that she’s playing Cora at her own game. In the promo for the next ep, when they're digging up the dagger, Cora says, “I'll use that dagger to force the Dark One to kill anyone you like,” and in the middle of it it cuts to a shot of Regina and something about her expression seems to be saying, “Careful what you wish for, mother.”

Not to mention Henry’s statement “You’re just like her, Regina” – I’m sorry, writers, but this is just an 11-year old boy.
Exactly, he’s 11. Kids have a simple view of things, and both Regina and Emma lied to him because they didn’t think he could handle the truth. I thought the comment was fair enough.
He absolutely hates Regina and seriously, this hatred is just too much for me to take in the light of him being so OK with Bae leaving them in the first place. He easily forgives him while he’s so hurt by Emma’s lie?
Henry isn’t aware of all the details of how Neal left. All he knows is Emma never even told Neal that she was pregnant, and then when Henry asked about his father, she lied about him being dead, in order to protect herself. Going on what information Henry knows, Neal is blameless in being an absent father until now, and it’s Emma’s fault. I can’t really compare his acceptance of Neal to his disdain for Regina. One never knew he existed, and the other lied to him, controlled him, and made him miserable.

Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing

Yep, I’ll be surprised if Cora outlives this season, and I reckon they’re introducing Greg to be a major force for next season. They’ll probably drop some really big bombshell to do with him in the season finale, and leave us to agonise over it for the whole hiatus. They’re gradually weaving him into the story, and I believe it’s building up to something huge.

Hm.. He hates his father, killed his wife and let his son fall in a bottomless hole to stay safe himself 😕 wouldn’t exactly call it that, but maybe thats just me 😉
Ok, what I really meant was he if he loves someone, he is very loyal to them- not always in a healthy way. He wanted to hurt anyone who hurt Bae. Yes, he let Bae go, but only because of his immense addiction to magic and his fear of being without it. He immediately regretted it afterwards and created the whole curse to get him back. When Belle lost her memories, he was so distraught that he threatened to kill the Charmings if any harm came to her. That’s what I was referring to- I guess “fiercely loyal” wasn’t really the right choice of words. He is also very vengeful if someone betrays him.

I was just about to post that! The imp flourish was spot on, and it made me grin like an idiot. MRJ is awesome with details like that.
Also finding it interesting that in a way the Seer may have manipulated Rumple into all this in order to get rid of her gift.

An instant reminder of Pan’s Labyrinth 😉
@Phee – I know he’s just a kid and he doesn’t exactly know what happened but Emma was pretty clear when apologising to him that she lied to him for good reasons and that their past is not only complicated but also very painful – that is a massive hint that Neal might not be such a good person. I understand the boy is longing for a father figure and everything might seem out of order, but the contrast was a bit much to me. I’m interested to see though how all their relationships are going to develop. -
