I thought Aladdin was a Chinese guy and that his story was settled in Maghreb. That Indian Restaurant makes me think of The Jungle Book and Mowgli ^^

Not to mention the Disney take on Aladdin takes place in Argabah, which is supposed to be in the Middle East. Sidney’s genie character even says he is from Agrabah.
