Did anybody else wonder why Mary Margaret was teaching Henry’s class in this episode when we saw in the first season that she was his fourth grade teacher? I hope Henry isn’t still in the fourth grade! (Of course, he did miss a lot of classes… )

Why has Mary Margaret moved from fourth grade teacher, to mayor, to teaching what appeared to be maybe eighth grade? The original curse made her a fourth grade teacher and the Zelena-story curse made her mayor, so has she just decided she prefers to teach middle school or high school? Or will she just follow her grandson so she can always teach whatever class he is in? She’ll need to get a Ph.D. from another curse when he goes to college! 8>)

Honestly? I think it was because they needed to give Ginny down time after the birth of her son so they made MM the mayor so that they had a ready made excuse for why she wasn’t out doing things with Emma, et al

Why is Snow constantly teaching about birds? Henry’s at least 5th/6th grade now and all he’s learnt about are birds.

Regina and Emma referenced the fact that Regina was returning to the Mayor’s office…I think MM decided she wanted to teach instead. And as to moving to different levels…that’s allowed in most schools.

At age 12, I think Henry is probably in 6th or 7th grade. Judging by his school uniform, he attends private school. It could be that his school combines grades K-8, as if often the case with prep schools. That would’ve made it easy for MM to transfer between grades within the same school.

I never thought of Henry attending a “private” school before but it makes sense that Regina would want the “best” for her child and would also explain why bird lessons seem to be a regular part of the curriculum.

I don’t care if my parents sent me to the best private school in the world, if birds were the only thing I was learning I’d be the first one to beg for a withdrawal.
