So far, we know that Maguire will be appearing in season three for at least a four-episode arc and he is set to reaffirm his alliance with Belle’s Emilie De Ravin.
So he is in at least 4, two or three of them have to be in FL. As for RH helping Belle protect the town I still say no on that. I still believe it is a Life for Life other then the Sheriff wanting to pay both Belle and Rumble back that is all I can see.
[adrotate group="5"]August 25, 2013 at 3:11 pm #206683PriceofMagicParticipantThe sheriff wouldn’t be stupid enough to try anything against Belle. Rumple beat him for making a move on her, what would he do if the sheriff actually tried to harm her. THe sheriff values his life and limbs.
I agree that Belle shouldn’t have to be rescued, she’s not a damsel in distress.
A four episode arc? Does that mean he’ll appear in four consecutive episodes or four episode throughout the first eleven. Perhaps Robin Hood dies.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixAugust 25, 2013 at 3:16 pm #206684kfchimeraParticipantAgreed, I don’t want victim Belle.
I’m not sure the HO is “an old storyline” since months pass for us, but for the characters there’s many questions to be answered about how GOAT came to be, and how they were getting support in the real world, along with the questions of how Henry came to SB, how Neal got out of NL. We come up with so many theories sometimes our curiosity may be satisfied but we could be really off base even on things we are really sure about.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. August 25, 2013 at 3:19 pm #206686RumplesGirlKeymasterA four episode arc means RH could be in any 4 of the first 11, they do not have to be in order. In fact we know they aren’t. He was around for 303 but not 304 for instance.
And I agree THO isn’t an old storyline. It has been less than a day for everyone since they found out about GOAT. Also, Rumple wouldn’t know about any other spies in town. He only knew about Greg and Tamara after they had taken Henry.

It has several showrunner/writer types talking about the effect of social media on their shows. The most interesting thing is how the writers have so much less control over the story than some fans imagine, for all kinds of reasons. It really boils down to a blend, as the writers come up with ideas that work on paper, then see the final product and how fans took it, and try to course correct to what they meant to have happen in terms of fan reaction within their vision of the story.
I think that’s why a lot of times they don’t KNOW where they are going with something, they just want to test it out and see. I totally think that’s what they’re doing with this Regina thing, and it is not plot critical in anyway. I think they may even end the series without a firm romantic happy ending for some characters, but with enough of their emotional issues resolved that all the fans can imagine whatever combination suits them. That’s been done on some shows, and while ambiguity can be frustrating sometimes, sometimes its the only way for the writers to avoid backlash from one camp or the other.

August 25, 2013 at 4:01 pm #206693SlurpeezParticipantThat reminds me of the fan backlash when Graham was killed off; there were a lot of unhappy campers. Yet, Graham was always written to be a 7-episode character and Eddy an Adam said they always intended there to be collateral damage due to the curse. It’s sad, of course, but that’s just the way it was. So, I agree that fan opinion matters to a large extent (just look at how much fans love Hook and Belle to the point they’ve been made season regulars). Nevertheless, fan reactions don’t always determine the final outcome (e.g. Eddy pretty much put to rest the hope of SwanQueen ever becoming a reality). The writers/producers can’t possibly please everyone all the time. Their goal is simply to write a good story with a compelling plot and captivating characters.

August 25, 2013 at 4:36 pm #206695RumplesGirlKeymasterGraham dying was sad but it was totally necessary to the plot. We really needed to see that Regina could still harm people inside SB, that she was still the EQ, and killing Graham gave a lot of insight to her character as a whole.
I think A and E want to tell their story so even if there is a very large fan base for one thing, it won’t detract from their story. They contemplated changing that Neal was Bae for a split second because so many of us had guessed it, but they knew it was the story they wanted to tell.

RH is indebted to her for convincing Rumple to spare his life. Another possibility is that Robin Hood will help Belle figure out how to cast the cloaking spell using the fairy wand from Rumple’s shop. RH has experience using the wand from when he used it to save Marian and his unborn child. I just don’t want Belle to become another victim of another hostage situation.
OK, fair point, the girl doesn’t need to be locked up again, but I still have my money on Robin saving her from some perilous situation. She saved his life, (technically twice, though he doesn’t know about the bit where Rumple was gonna shoot him), so the gesture for him to re-pay that debt has to be on par. Dunno that I can see him helping her contact Rumple though, because he’s not exactly Rumple’s biggest fan, due to the torture.
I’m not sure the HO is “an old storyline” since months pass for us, but for the characters there’s many questions to be answered about how GOAT came to be, and how they were getting support in the real world, along with the questions of how Henry came to SB, how Neal got out of NL. We come up with so many theories sometimes our curiosity may be satisfied but we could be really off base even on things we are really sure about.
Yeah, there’s still plenty of storyline left in THO. I was re-watching SSTTR last night, and during the scene where Greg was torturing Regina, she was mocking him for thinking that he and Tamara could achieve their goal, and he was all, “Who said there’s just two of us? We’re everywhere.” Then he told her how after he left SB as a kid, everyone thought he was crazy when he talked about magic, but then there were people who listened to him, people who believed in magic, and believed it didn’t belong in this world and were gonna get rid of it. And Regina was all, “You can’t eradicate the magic from this world, ” and Greg was all, “Damn straight we can, you think this is the first time we’ve done it?” THO has knowledge, power, history, plenty of other minions just like GOAT, and an interest in SB. They will most definitely be a factor in S3.
Remember the casting call for Captain Hook said at least a 4-episode arc, and now Colin is signed up as a S3 full-time cast member (as is MRJ). It’ll all depend on the fan reaction to Robin Hood that will determine whether he sticks around as a real contender for Regina’s hand.
Yep, they’ve got a certain amount of storyline for him 100% locked in, more storyline for him in mind, but they have to wait and see before it becomes official. I think that’s why Keck ended up needing to tweet a retraction of his comments hinting at RegalHood. They wanted some info about Robin out there, they wanted some info about Regina’s future romance out there, so they could gauge reaction and see what people were saying about both issues independent of each other. But an article all but confirming that RegalHood is the plan was a step too far at this stage in the game.
August 25, 2013 at 11:49 pm #206715kfchimeraParticipantKeck seems a little on the E-online Kristin & wetpaint style, sometimes there is more “oops” than “scoops”.
