KeymasterLoving Jafar on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. But what is he really after? —Amanda
NATALIE: “Jafar is not evil for evil’s sake,” executive producer Adam Horowitz tells us. “His actions come out of a deep pain that we plan to reveal. And to soothe that pain he’s going to have to change the laws of magic, [which] will affect everyone in Wonderland.” Remember those pesky laws of magic, like you can’t bring someone back from the dead and you can’t make someone love you? Yeah, we’re guessing that Jafar is interested in those two in particular.http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Parenthood-Wonderland-Spoilers-1072120.aspx

ParticipantI’m having a moment here. I can’t wait for more!

KeymasterYou know I remember a casting call for someone that we predicted might be Jafar’s sister. What if it isn’t a lost romantic love, but a lost sibling love? That’d be a new one for ONCE. And maybe Cyrus was somehow responsible?

ParticipantOoooh I like it even more. As long as it is not creepy Games of Thronesesque.

ParticipantAs I stated awhile back, on the Aladdin movie, Genies COULD bring back the dead. It just implies that they come back as zombies or like those people from Pet Semetary… Its them.. Just not “them”.

That’s right. “It’s not a pretty picture…I don’t like doing it!” Hmm.
New headcanon: Jafar is looking for Cyrus in order to bring back his sister from the dead. I think I’ve changed my mind about it being Cyrus’s fault though. I think Jafar having accidentally killed his sister would make for stronger TV drama."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 16, 2013 at 10:03 am #216319Slurpeez

I predict that Jafar either lost a loved one to death or has unrequited love for someone. So Jafar is trying to change the rules of magic. Though in “Aladdin” the genie of the lamp spelled out those rules, so I’m not sure how Jafar would achieve his goal using Cyrus’ wishes.
