The Macbeth thread made me think of something. In the Crocodile we see lots of drawings all over the cottage. I’d never noticed them before, and then later Bae finds Milah’s portrait, which I think was a self-portrait. Yet the style of all these drawings is exactly like the portrait of Henry.
I’ve joked before about Zombie Milah, and I do not think the character is returning, but the drawings are similar. I wonder if Milah may have had prophetic skills, and whether that picture of Henry could have been HER drawing, that PP got when Hook entered NL a few months before Bae.

I think it is a visual clue of Milah’s longing to escape. Bae was fairly young at that point and the drawings are sophisticated with shading, not like most kids could do at that age.

August 31, 2013 at 8:38 am #207347RumplesGirlKeymasterI think someone confirmed, maybe in the official podcast or maybe the DVD commentary, that it was Milah who had drawn that picture of herself in 222. Also, that she drew that picture of Bae Rumple has in 204. She was the artist. The drawing are very similar but so far as we know Milah never went to NL. Now, she could have drawn Henry in FTL and then sold it or something?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August 31, 2013 at 9:13 am #207349kfchimeraParticipantI was thinking she drew it on board the JR, and Hook had it. When the JR entered NL, maybe the page flew out the window or something.
Peter gets this picture, and decides he wants THAT boy. There’s a lot of gaps in this idea, I know. I can’t explain why he would want a boy in some random drawing as badly as he does, but I suppose in my head I was thinking something like, Peter sees a hand drawn picture by a mother and thinks “I want the kid that someone would love so much.” As to why Milah draws Henry, it was her trying to draw an older version of Bae in her imagination, since he was so young when she last saw him. Maybe there was an entire folio of these drawings, of her imagining him getting older, and getting more off-course by the time she was drawing him (from imagination) as 5 or 6 years older than she last saw him.
I have to wonder how someone living in the village we saw draws Palm Trees. This is before she met Hook in the bar. The picture is just hanging on the wall.
I also think though we paint Milah as heartless of Bae a lot, she does look at the baby proudly when she says his name. Bae might not have remembered her quite so well, but I think Milah DID regret leaving him.
I have this half-formed idea that Peter saw the love (or maybe there were writings on the back) and wanted that boy, but when he got Bae, well, Bae was not full of hope and love for his mother to find him. Henry of course is, for both his moms to come get him.
In the original stories, PP really wants a mother’s love. Yet he doesn’t want to grow up in the real world, which a real mother would force him to do. He has those abandonment issues (there’s that story we’ve discussed that Peter felt replaced).
Anyway,I’m ready to agree it is more likely NOT Milah’s drawing, but just thought it was odd she drew so much and and at least one scene she could not have seen where she was. I know RG, you’ve said before that the picture is SO like Jared Gilmore, it cannot have been drawn as being anything but of Henry. So that’s a huge stumbling block to the idea.

Hook seemed somewhat familiar with the Lost Ones, so perhaps they’d been on the ship previously? If so, that could be when they found the drawing?

Not so sure about the last part. We know Hook was only in NL for about 6 months before Bae landed in the water and it seemed that PP had that drawing for some time given the number of children that were on NL and the utter devotion of the Lost Ones to finding Henry.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August 31, 2013 at 11:54 am #207361PriceofMagicParticipantDoes Felix know about the prophesy? He said to Rumple about PP in the sneak peek “If you go against him, you will not survive.” to which Rumple replies ” The question isn’t will I survive because we both know I won’t”.
This means that both Rumple and the Lost Ones/PP think Rumple’s “undoing” means death. Or could it be Felix is just being cocky and thinking there’s no chance Rumple could go up against PP and win and Rumple just confirms it?
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixAugust 31, 2013 at 11:56 am #207362RumplesGirlKeymasterI think of all the Lost Ones, Felix knows the prophecy or at least as an inkling to it if PP hasn’t told him everything. He is PP right hand man (so we believe) and it would make sense for him to have some sort of knowledge about PP’s end game, if it’s only a hint here and there.

Hmmm, true. Though 6 months FTL time could equate to anything in NL time, we dunno how they compare exactly.
Perhaps PP had known about the prophecy for longer, but didn’t know the specifics of the kid he needed, so he was collecting randomly? Then fate brought the pic of Henry to him, and he was able to alter his search to be more targeted?
