Favorite: The battle, even though it was short lived. And the last moment of Cora’s life, so she really wasn’t pure evil, she just took her heart out, (well in a way that could be called pure evil). I kinda wanted her to be different from Rumple and Regina and not be sympathetic, but clearly they chose to recycle the same route, however I’m glad they did now.
Least favorite: My favorite Character dying, I hate Snow! How could she light that candle and decide to Give Regina Cora’s heart later? She already had that other idea in hear head before performing the action, I’m sure there could have been other ways to save Rumple….Get her Regina!

Favorite moments: Mr. Gold’s phone call to Belle, Baelfire crying in his father’s arms, Mr. Gold teaching Emma how to use magic, Emma and Neal’s banter, Snow tricking Regina into taking Cora’s heart, Neal with a sword (swoon), baby Regina, Robert Carlyle’s performance, Lana Parilla’s performance and Rose McGowen’s performance.

-Mr. Gold’s conversation with Belle.
-Cora presenting baby Regina to the royal court.
-Cora standing up to King Xavier.
-Mr. Gold and Baelfire crying together.
-“You don’t get to be judgy about this Mr. I’m Rumpelstiltskin’s son.” 😆
-Emma using magic.
-Regina craddling Cora’s dead body in her arms.
-The entire Charming family fighting off Cora and Regina.
-Mr. Gold’s chest. Like, can we just take a moment to appreciate the awesomeness of that scene? *closes eyes* Alright, thank you. 😀
-The rivalry between Snow White and the Evil Queen is back on baby!
Least Favorite Scenes:
-Rumpel and Cora. Just…no.

With the little bow and the “Rrrumplestiltskin.” And the added touch of, “My name. I think you’ve earned it” for Cora was great! Aw, I’m so sad how it ended.
I cried SO HARD when Rumple called Belle on the phone. OMG. That heartfelt conversation! T_T But I can’t say that it’s my least favorite part. It’s actually one of my favorites, because it was so well done.
March 11, 2013 at 3:10 pm #179001angiebelleParticipantWow…what an episode! I think my jaw was on the floor and my body was tense and my head was spinning almost the entire time- and this was after having seen all the spoiler clips and reading all the clues. I was almost afraid to keep watching but couldn’t look away. I guessed correctly on several things, but there were still surprises- like I knew Snow was going to use the candle. I did NOT know she was going to manipulate Regina! Also, predicting Snow’s action and actually seeing her go through with it were two different things- I was in a daze. Mr. Gold having the candle and suggesting Snow use it was another thing I hadn’t seen coming. I wonder if it will occur to Snow that while she did take a life, she also saved one. I wonder what made her decide to save Gold after all- the fact that he is family now?
The flashback was heartbreaking- poor Rumple! Is it any wonder that he thought Belle was tricking him in “Skin Deep”? The flashback shows that if Cora had used ambition in a positive way instead of a negative way, she could have been something great instead of something wicked. I don’t think young Cora’s story is finished since we know she learned a great deal more from Rumple than what we actually saw. I’m also curious about where magic comes from now. Anyone can be taught to use it? That was the impression they gave. Or perhaps, Rumple passed magic on to her.
Favorite moment:
Loved the line about the enchanted box!
Emma calling Gold family (I accidentally credited this to the last episode because I saw that clip at Paleyfest and got the two episodes mixed up!)
Emma getting coached by Gold on how to use magic. (More please! I want to see Emma getting lessons regularly!)
Emma and Neal bantering.
Henry still having faith in Emma.
RumBelle phonecall- I think I watched this clip at least a dozen times before the episode even aired…such a beautiful moment- and to see it witnessed by both Emma and Neal! For the first time, someone witnesses how Rumple truly feels about Belle.
Neal/Bae finally taking his father’s hand and accepting a chance to reconcile.
The family protecting Rumple
Cora showing genuine love for Regina right before she died…made me sad she didn’t have her heart returned to her sooner.
Cora admitting she had loved Rumple and that’s why she removed her own heart. (It proves that at one time she was capable of love- she just made a bad choice.)
Snow feeling inner turmoil after using the candle…she is still pure of heart because if she were truly dark, she’d have no regrets or second thoughts.Least Favorite:
I’m never quite sure how to categorize these…there were many moments that made me uncomfortable but that doesn’t mean I think they were bad writing or acting wise or that they shouldn’t have happened.
Rumple convincing Snow to use the candle.
Snow manipulating Regina
Young Cora breaking Rumple’s heart (I am very much a RumBelle shipper, but had things gone differently Cora and Rumple would have had a passionate connection. Unfortunately, that connection was power and hatred.)March 11, 2013 at 3:28 pm #179007jessieparadoxes of peopleParticipantI hated it when Snow was lying to Regina.I realize there prolly wasn’t any other way,but still…..
I got a kick out of the look on Gold’s face when he was on the verge of death, and then Cora gets her heart and he shot from death’s door to full health!!!!!! Well done!!!!!
Also did anyone else notice that Cora was faced with the same choice as Rumple in the shop? The dagger or the child. How fitting to have Nealfir be the one to say to Cora,”Which one is it gonna be?”
And Cora chose the dagger.
(Can anyone tell me exactly how Regina got out of Emma’s grasp?I’ve missed that both times I’ve watched the scene.)I also was creeped out by the Rumple/Cora kiss scenes. 😯 😯
Keeper of King George's Coat of arms;Tiny's pickaxe;Belle's bronze vase;Emma Hacker device and true love kiss to Henry;Granny's surcharge on pickles;Snow's "Good will always win;Regina's apple turnover;Gold's pink shirt,Mickey phone,&glasses(1x12);RQ's chess set,and Chip's shattered remains

I love that even though I was as spoiled as a mouldy piece of food that had been sitting in the back of the fridge for 6 months, there was still so much in this ep that I hadn’t seen playing out the way it did. This is why I don’t mind being so spoiled, because the show still never fails to amaze me, no matter how much I think I know.

His experience with Cora certainly adds a whole other layer to his reaction to Belle. No wonder he freaked out like that, indeed!
March 11, 2013 at 3:42 pm #179014tabsicleParticipantWow what an episode! I was scared it was going to be one of the filler episodes bc Manhattan was pretty epic too. Glad to see that I was mistaken.
Favorite Moments:
Cora actually loving Regina for like a minute and a half
Regina full on Evil Queen mode again
Snow being sneaky
Neal being all so “I’m still mad at you” 😆 cause I totally do the same thingLeast Favorite:
Cora and Rumple…………………EW! Whether it young or old Cora its still disturbing.Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.

March 11, 2013 at 7:51 pm #179117timberumpParticipantDid anyone else notice baby Regina’s diaper? My fiance said it was like a huggies or pampers. I can’t find my glasses, so I can’t tell. Also, after everything that Cora did, I am finding myself FURIOUS with Snow/MM. The image of her sitting with her hands over her ears just made me want to smack her. I know that sounds harsh, but I had a physical reaction to her this episode. I can’t explain it. I think I like the show less now. Regina was SO SO pitiful. I have to keep reminding myself of what they did to Johanna last week.
