Yeah & Emma has to contend with Snow instead of MM (which is the only part of Snow she knows- the weak/meek side), which will be a shocker for her as well + she still has all the emotions of having just found family on top of being transported through a magic hat to FTL by a wraith, then tied up by a prince-less upset sleeping beauty & Mulan lol.
On top of it all, she wont really know what living/surviving in FTL (esp this new dangerous version) involves until the dingleberries hit the fan, which Snow will NOT want to have happen since she’s in protective mummy mode for a reluctant (lets face it she’s never had that before so has no clue how to ‘take’ it), still mostly emotionally closed off (quite rightly), 28yr old, Emma ๐I like hjbau, am just wondering how long this irritation will go on as well- ๐ก maybe it will be in the foreground until Emma’s episode? Maybe that is where we’ll see Emma really start to begin dealing with what she’s processing…. I hope they don’t leave it to much longer than that- having Snow & Emma constantly irritated at each other for an entire season will just be way out of character for them both ๐

There will be some episodes, like 2×3, which spend more time on them, hopefully mixed in. My main hope is that Snow and Emma find a way back to SB by the half-way point in the season. It would be too much if it dragged out any longer than that.

At this point I’m not to concerned about them being in FTL- I think they are there for more than just mother/daughter bonding time & Emma being a fish out of water.
I expect it has to do with getting/doing something in preparation for the final battle …. maybe it’s to find out what the final battle will actually be for/against lol ๐
I had always assumed it’d be between Regina & the Charmings, but now.. Is it the Ogres, Regina, Cora, Magic, FTL/EF itself, Good V’s Evil in general? โ ๐So yeah, I will wait until I’ve seen this Ep & maybe the next ๐ before I get too worried it may drag on- only because I cant see it only being about ‘just’ getting home again ๐
My one concern with them there is having less time with my favourite characters than we had in the past with the introduction of yet another storyline/split & a bunch of newbies lol.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED last weeks ep, it was engrossing, but if every 2nd or 3rd Ep is going to contain next to no story of those characters we’ve come to love in favour of introducing a bunch of new ‘one off’ characters or pretty much only focusing on just one for instance, it may get a bit disjointed. They really managed to pull it off this time (I think because it was mostly with a main character we are all very familiar with), so all that remains to be seen is if they can keep it up & continue to do so I guess ๐October 13, 2012 at 4:44 am #156514hjbauParticipantIt may all come to a head in Ep 6 especially if they show Emma give birth to Henry and give him up. I just imagine the similarity between that moment for Emma and the moment where Snow gave up Emma. If they are going to interweave those two i could so see it.
I am in total agreement of my dislike of having episodes where we don’t see all of the main characters. That should not be happening in my opinion. I know they are doing it for Ep 4 as well, but after that i hope that is it. I am not sure if we are seeing any Regina this week or not either. We will see.

Opening fire on a dragon seems to be the equivalent of a kid throwing pebbles at an adult, it’s annoying as hell but it’s gonna take a really long time and a truck load of pebbles before killing you.
When Emma will run out of bullet in is when will be the end of modern weapons in EF. Molotov cocktail are not exactly modern (alcohol burns… we did not just recently figure that out). I think Emma’s modern contribution on the battlefront in EF will be more on the defense side of things. Being a sherif comes with some sort of formation right? (riot police, how to properly immobilized someone with minimum danger to yourself… that kind of things)

Indeed, handguns are generally useless against large animals like grizzly bears so I wouldn’t expect one to be very effective against a dragon. On the other hand, it could be very effective against bad guys who are used to their armor stopping most weapons.
When Emma runs out of ammunition, they could redo the old Star Trek episode and have her make gunpowder like Capt. Kirk did! (Just joking – I think they will be more original than that.) But I agree she could probably come up with lots of modern tricks that would surprise her enemies.

The pencils could be used together to make a defensive weapon or at least slow someone or something down.
