With a Season 2 renewal an inevitability, EW talked to creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz while a fan asked if Stan could return as a series regular, or even just a recurring one that appears often. The pair told the magazine, “We love Sebastian just as much as the fans and have plans to see much more of him down the line. And if we have to employ dark magic to make the scheduling work, that’s a price we’re happy to pay.”

Fun fact No. 2: Ginnifer Goodwin has a tattoo of a tiny apple (heh) on the inside of her right forearm, “though they won’t let me [display] it on the show,” she laments. And now for that scooplet: As Josh Dallas reminded us in our Q&A, we still don’t know Charming’s real name, but co-creator Adam Horowitz says it will definitely be revealed in Season 2. Now that magic has come to Storybrooke, will the Evil Queen be in need of her magic mirror? Because he might be a little busy given that Giancarlo Esposito (who also played Sidney Glass) is now a cast member on NBC’s Revolution. But in a pinch, “I think I can [pop up on Once],” the onetime Breaking Bad guy tells me. “And I would love to be able to do that. I am so happy about their pickup, because it’s a show my kids can watch! So you know I’m going to be trying to go back and forth.”

While Lana Parilla couldn’t tell us too much, she says viewers will see a more evil side of Regina and yet continue to see flickers of humanity. “A combination of both,” she teases. “I think she softened with her relationship with Henry. I think she’s afraid to lose him!”

Wetpaint: Exclusive interview with Ginny, Lana and Jared
Once Upon a Time aired its Season 1 finale on May 13, and the big question on everyone’s minds is what the broken curse will mean for Season 2 of the show — and its cast of fairy-tale characters. Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White/Mary Margaret), Lana Parrilla (the Evil Queen/Regina), and Jared Gilmore (Henry) at Disney’s Upfronts on May 20, and the three stars dished on the freshman season’s exciting end and their hopes and expectations for Season 2.

Wetpaint Entertainment: So the curse was broken, you were reunited with Charming [Josh Dallas]. What does that mean exactly?
Ginnifer: I don’t know. The only thing we’ve established is that magic is unpredictable in this world in Storybrooke, Maine, so I assume that it will wreak havoc but we don’t know anything.Do you think that your reunion with Prince Charming is going to be short lived or is that going to last for a while?
I’m hoping it lasts. Keeping them apart in the way that they were kept apart was the crux of Season 1 so I hope that we explore some new territory in Season 2. I think that Season 2 will probably be — only based on my assumption — more about our reuniting with our daughter and our grandson.What would you like to see happen in Season 2?
I’m mostly excited about that. I’m excited to see how these women interact. Though Emma will inevitably understand why her parents sent her away, she no doubt harbors a lot of pain and has some abandonment issues and I’m excited to get to the core of those things.A lot of things to work through?
Oh yeah. There will be a lot of us sitting down with Archie.Are they going to introduce new fairytale characters in Season 2?
Surely. Oh I’m sure almost every episode we’ll get a new one.Lana Parrilla

Lana: You know I’ve been talking about that. I think the purple smoke represents hope for her, which I just thought of. Now that she has magic, there is a lot more she can do now. We don’t know how she’s gonna use it yet.She seemed happy…
She did. Just as she’s lost everything, the purple smoke comes in so there’s hope for her.Is her evil reign over?
Oh, no no no.There’s another plot in the works?

Jared: I’m not exactly sure. Well of course the Evil Queen is gone so of course Emma would be my full on mom.Do you think that something bad is going to come from the magic?
Yes and no. Because Rumpelstiltskin and the Evil Queen have their magic again but then there’s also good people that can use magic as well.Are you done with the queen now? Do you think she’s going to leave you alone for a while?
Maybe not. It depends. You never know.What would you like to see happen with your character in the next season?
Well personally, I’d like to see Henry get a sword, but that’s just my opinion.What would you do with the sword?
Kill people. Bad guys.Would you go after the witch?

‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 2 Spoilers: Regina and Magic
Once Upon a Time season 1 ended with magic coming to Storybrooke, and that’s going to affect everyone, whether they want to use that magic or not. What will this mean for Regina?

TVLine talked to Lana Parrilla about what Regina could be up to next. After all, season 1 ended with everyone knowing what she did and with her losing Henry to Emma. Then the purple smoke, which Parrilla called “more symbolic” and “a better link to something ‘magical,'” than the smoke was originally (it was “almost green”), took over Storybrooke and it looked like there was hope again for Regina. So what could be next? According to Parrilla, “She seems somewhat conflicted. She’s going through this huge loss with her son [Henry, now effectively Emma’s ward], and yet now there is hope. If she needs magic to get her son back, then so be it.” Uh-oh, that means that everyone’s yet again going to be in trouble because of Regina in Once Upon a Time season 2. (Did you really expect anything else?)Meanwhile, there is the matter of Rumpel getting his hands on that magic as well, and Parrilla did say, “I’m curious to see what happens between Rumpelstiltskin and the Evil Queen…I imagine that whatever it is, it is not going to be pretty.” After all, there were already issues between the two. Now that he knows she’s responsible for him and Belle being separated all this time, people are certainly not going to want to end up in the middle of those two. Will everyone have to take sides? It’s basically choosing the lesser evil of the two. Could there be those on Regina’s side, those on Rumpel’s, and everyone else in season 2? Whatever happens, the scenes with Lana Parrilla and Robert Carlyle were among the best of the first season, so it’s hard not to be excited to see what season 2 holds for their characters.

What the heck was that purple smoke?
At the end of Once Upon a Time’s finale, the curse was broken and all the fairy-tale characters of Storybrooke ostensibly received their happily-ever-afters. But before the bluebirds could begin sewing dresses, the evil Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) used the potion that Emma (Jennifer Morrison) retrieved from the belly of Maleficent to cast a smoky purple haze over all of Storybrooke.“The purple smoke is magic,” explains Morrison. “They’re bringing magic to reality, but does that mean Fairytale Land exists again? That we can go back and forth?” All the producers have told her is that “something exciting is going on. What’s interesting is that Emma is now going to know that Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas) are her parents, Snow White and Prince Charming.”
What’s not going to happen, it seems, is everyone returning to their fairy-tale life. “That will be answered in Season 2,” says Morrison. “Breaking the curse may just be the beginning of the final battle.”
“I knew halfway through the season that breaking the curse was a possibility,” says Morrison. “It was getting harder and harder to keep Emma from believing.”
