Okay, didn’t see the bed sheets, just thought she was holding a scarf in the one picture, but I see the now. What do you think the book is in her hand? Looks very old?

I speculated on another thread that the old book in Regina’s hand may be her diary featured in 1×11, Fruit of the Poisonous Tree.

Once Upon A Time has found its Captain Hook. Irish actor Colin O’Donoghue (The Rite) will play the recurring character on the upcoming, magic-themed second season of ABC’s fairytale drama. This marks O’Donoghue’s return to ABC where he played the male lead in the 2011 drama pilot Identity. The actor, who also did an arc on The Tudors, has signed with UTA for representation. He is also repped by Alchemy Entertainment and UK agent Jonathan Arun. http://www.deadline.com/2012/08/colin-odonoghue-gets-key-recurring-role-on-once-upon-a-time-signs-with-uta/
From TV Line Once Upon a Time is giving actor Colin O’Donoghue the Hook! The ABC drama has tapped the Irish thesp to join the Season 2 cast in the potentially recurring role of Captain Hook, TVLine has confirmed.
A handsome, fearsome and confident pirate ship captain, Hook relishes every challenge and never backs down from a fight, whether the reward is power, riches, or women. He possesses the meticulous style and old-school manners of a proper gentleman, but beneath that veneer lies a vindictive enemy who will not rest until all his enemies have been defeated… and humiliated.
O’Donoghue, who guest-starred on The Tudors as Duke Philip of Bavaria, is slated to debut in this season’s fourth episode. http://tvline.com/2012/08/03/once-upon-a-time-colin-odonoghue-captain-hook/
Official ABC Description of Captain Hook:
a handsome pirate ship captain who never shies away from a fight.” Although he gives off a gentlemanly air, he is truly vindictive in nature. The Captain will play a pivotal role in the bad fortune that has befallen Storybrooke.

I’m not going to fall for it again even though he has brown hair, okay the eyes aren’t the right color but looking at Pinocchio that might not be a factor either. Why are you doing this to me show?!?
August 3, 2012 at 4:59 pm #152826midnight drearyParticipantWHOA. That man is GORGEOUS!!! 😮 😮 😮
August 3, 2012 at 5:09 pm #152827lilredParticipantBrown hair, stunning blue eyes…and scruffy facial hair? Sounds like we just replaced Eion Bailey. 😆
Excited to see a hot new baddie! With an Irish accent! 😉I think we need to gather all brunette, male cast-members between the ages of 20-30 in town square. Line them up, and have Rumple pick out his son.
And when he chooses a guy with blue eyes again, the real Baelfire can step forward and let his father have it! 😈August 3, 2012 at 5:13 pm #152828JosephineParticipantWow…just wow. Nobody can overtake my Rumple love, but the OUaT people are really trying hard. I did expect that Hook would be older, a contemporary of Gold, but this will do, too.
They really are just toying with us now. I have a suspicion Jack will be brunette and gorgeous, too.

Me too. At least 40s.
Have they hired any non-brunette males yet for next season?
August 3, 2012 at 6:57 pm #152831PriceofMagicParticipantIs the footage of Hook that we’ve seen actual footage that will be used on the show or just promo footage for the character?
A handsome, fearsome and confident pirate ship captain, Hook relishes every challenge and never backs down from a fight, whether the reward is power, riches, or women. He possesses the meticulous style and old-school manners of a proper gentleman, but beneath that veneer lies a vindictive enemy who will not rest until all his enemies have been defeated… and humiliated.
We saw him breaking into Mr Gold’s shop, could that suggest that Rumple is going to be his enemy? Crazy theory just popped into my head but what if (if Rumple is Hook’s enemy) Hook tries to steal Belle off of Rumple. Belle did say she wanted to see the world in Skin Deep, and as a pirate captain, Hook would have travelled so he could tell her about his travels with the “meticulous style and old-school manners of a proper gentleman”. “Hook relishes every challenge and never backs down from a fight, whether the reward is power, riches, or women” Belle would be a challenge seeing as she is Rumple’s true love. “beneath that veneer lies a vindictive enemy who will not rest until all his enemies have been defeated… and humiliated.” What would be more humiliating for Rumple than Belle leaving him for a younger man? What if the theories of Rumple’s first wife running off with Hook are true and now Hook is trying to take Belle away from Rumple? What if Bae is Hook’s biological son?
So many theories from one tiny bit of casting info.
All magic comes with a price!
