Morpheus inherited Rumple’s Seer Gift,
But Rumps seer gift wasn’t originally his, and he said he lost that power like 3 seasons ago. Logically, RumBaby should be a Dark One though.
That could explain it.
Also, we know what happens when a baby is born with godlike powers after being conceived from a person imbued with the magic of a trickster. Uh oh.

Well done on guessing this ages ago! I mean, I think @TheWatcher’s right about the impersonation, but you know what I mean. The whole thing’s a bit weird and necessiated by PLOT. They wanted to wake Belle but not repair the RumBelle relationship by having Rumple administer TLK. So we got this…daddy hating fetus impersonating god of dreams solution.

This is something that continues to irk me. What’s so wrong with having Rumple administer a successful TLK? They can still be True Loves even if their relationship is on the rocks and there’s hurt on both sides. They even keep saying “I know you love me!” or something along those lines. It can still be true love but and not be perfect or what either party wants anymore. Have Rumple be the one to wake Belle with TLK but then have Belle say that she still doesn’t want a relationship anymore. Unless the show is suggesting that True Love must be perfect in order to be True Love.

I think the Zades kiss last season blew this notion out of the water. As for the rest of your questions, there’s a couple of possible answers.
1) The definition of True Love, and therefore TLK keeps changing on this show in order to provide the writers with convenient plot solutions.
2) They are saving up for a big, final, game-changing RumBelle TLK for the series endgame and this is why the couple haven’t been allowed one yet.

THIS, the show has proven that a relationship does not have to be stable, long lasting, or even healthy for TLK so why not have Rumple TLK Belle?
As for Morpheus, I actually thought maybe it was actually the baby. I mean we still don’t know much about Belle or Rumple’s moms so maybe they were Gods and that is how the Rumbelle Baby became a God? I thought it was time travel adult version of the baby. Even so, how does Rumple even proceed from here and why in the world would Belle even believe that it would work out? So if this baby is an adult and thinks his father will constantly lie and deceive his mother why would she ever trust Rumple again, and Rumple obviously wants a relationship with his son, so what can he do to make him not hate him. I hope we get some kind of explanation for all of this, because if not the show is basically saying there is no hope for Rumbelle or for Rumple and his son. If a show is based on hope and family this certainly goes against everything the show stands for.

Honestly, it’s probably both of those.

But still, I can’t believe that RG’s crackpot theory about Morpheus being the RumBelle baby actually came true. *facepalm*
For what it’s worth, which may be nothing, because what’s really real in a dream world, but he had purple smoke, not dark purple, more of a mauve.

That would fit with Rumpel’s aunts (was that how Malcolm explained the relationship?) being two of the three spinners of fate.

Let me start by saying I did not want Rumple to break the curse on Belle with his own TLK. They acknowledged already that it didn’t work when she first put herself to sleep last season so it cannot work now. And using her child as the one who wakes her was a surprise and I liked it.
Now, as I understood it, their son was impersonating Morpheus. He’s impersonating Morpheus bc why not….Idk. Now as far as why he’s older and how he knows so much about Rumple being a bad person…it’s hazy here, but remember, this is Belle’s dream. It’s her thoughts. She’s dreaming of her son…otherwise he wouldn’t be there right? Or is he just there bc since he’s inside her belly, he’s in her dreams. Either way, it doesn’t answer the question as to why he’s older. I would say he knows about Rumple bc Belle knows about Rumple, and he’s in her dream and in her belly as part of her, so I can let that pass. I don’t think it has anything to do with Seer capabilities. This is all Belle’s doing. Rumple is there bc of magic sand but their son is not. He’s there bc he’s basically asleep with Belle bc he’s a part of her. I wonder if all pregnant women who get put under the sleeping curse have their child in their dreams as a young adult….Now he recognizes Rumple bc he’s been with her in her dreams for awhile now and has seen her interact with Rumple. So when he saw real Rumple “show up” in the dream, he quickly decided to disguise who he is, try and test his father. All that makes sense. It’s just how he became older. I get he has Belle’s memories and isn’t fond of Rumple. That I can see. But as to why he’s older, I don’t understand.
