As your bottom line quote says, “All magic comes with a price.” And his price for all the magic he’s used for evil, is his death.
That’s probably right but I’m not sure how that fits with the theme of hope? It may in A and E ‘s head but…I’m not sold

Maybe not hope, but definitely Hope™.
I just need someone to explain why Morfetus could wake Belle with TLK in a dream world when Snow couldn’t wake Charming with TLK in the Burning Room in S2…
This. My theory is that Morpheus/Morfetus has control over the dreamworld, and makes the claim that it’s TLK when it isn’t (but looks like it is).
I found the entire unborn-baby TLK kiss to be interesting and yet problematic (not even counting the son’s oedipal complex). How could an unborn child know the future to know Rumple would ruin his family again? The only way I could see the baby having foreknowledge is if he inherited Rumple’s seer ability since he was conceived when Rumple had become the dark one again. At the same time, I too question whether “Morpheus” really is the baby. Also, I predict Rumple isn’t going to get a happy ending. He said so in 3×11: “I’m a villain, and villains don’t get happy endings.” He might end up dying a hero (again) to save his wife and son, but I just don’t think a happy life is in store for him. Nevertheless, he’ll finally give up power to save his family.

I would LOVE it if they brought the Seer’s prophecy from 2×14 back in. Explaining how Pan had the drawing of Henry in 2×22 would be awesome too, but I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen.

The picture will never be explained. But the prophecy, I certainly hope so.

I get their show they maintain has always been about hope and happy endings. But I hope that not everyone gets one. I’d like to see a big death and Rumple fits the bill.
I suspect Rumple will “pull a Snape” and die a hero but not a good man.
To be fair Rumple said in the past that Bae was his happy ending, so if Rumple dies and reunites with Bae, he will have his happy ending in death, like the show already said was possible, that if u dont get a HE in life u may get it in death.
