1. I think it between Rumple and Emma
2. It seems clear Bae is not a priority at the moment. Once again he chose power.
8. Perhaps Bae has to seek jim out. it goes back what Henry said to MM concerning John Doe/ Charming. You have to stop looking for him at let him find you. I think it can apply to Rumple’s case too.[adrotate group="5"]May 14, 2012 at 2:54 am #146603eternalflameParticipant@Midnight Dreary wrote:
Ok, due to the craziness that was the season finale. I’ve decided to post a few new study questions.
1. Who has more power? Rumpel, Evil Queen or Emma?
2. Has Mr. Gold forgotten about Baelfire?
3. How will magic effect Storybrooke?
4. How will Belle react to Mr. Gold returning to his old Dark One persona?
5. What is Mr. Gold’s end game?
6. Now that the curse is broken, is Emma still the savior? Is she still a threat?
7. Who will the main battle be between? Who are the main players?
8. How will Baelfire play into this?1. Right now, I’m going to go with Rumpel and Emma.
2. I don’t think so. Just because he released magic into Storybrooke doesn’t mean that he isn’t still looking for Baelfire. It’s not like he found Bae and rejected him. All he did was release magic into the real world. Besides, he’s going to need magic to find him anyway. And no matter how angry we are at him for doing this, he would have had magic in his grasp no matter what. What if everyone returned to Fairytale land? They still would have had magic. So, it makes no difference either way.
4. Belle will most likely act as Mr. Gold’s conscience. There will definitely be some conflict between them. Mr. Gold will probably make a ton of promises to Belle about giving up his powers when he finally finds Baelfire. But what if he never finds Bae? Big problem. π―
6. I’ve been thinking about that too. Rumpel said that Emma would break the curse. Well, she’s already done that. So, I’m not quite sure what Emma’s role will be in season 2. I still believe she has some magic, but I’m not sure how she will utalize it.
7. Defintiely between Rumpel, Regina and Emma.
8. I have no idea.

8. How will Baelfire play into this?1. I think it’s between Emma and Rumple right now. I don’t think her job as “savior” ends with waking everybody up. Something tells me she’s got more to do.
2. No. I think all of this was a big set up to find Bae. He needed the curse in order to come to our world, he needed it broken in order to leave SB, and he needs his magic in order to find Bae.
3. I see Season 2 as being three stories: 1) Emma vs. Regina in SB 2) Rumple and Belle searching for Bae and a way to get back to FTL 3) SW, Charming, and company taking back the kingdom in FTL prior to the original curse.
4. We don’t know that he is! That’s the problem. He said magic is power but it doesn’t mean he’s lost sight of all he’s learned over the centuries and in SB. Having lost both Bae and Belle I think this is his last bit of magic and then he and Belle can live in love together and he can give up his power and he’ll be happy about it. I think he’s weary, but he’s got one more task to do.
5. To find Bae, get everyone back to FTL, and live his happily ever after with Belle. (I am not at all biased toward this…)
6. Yes, her job can’t be THAT easy. And what about how Rumple said she needed to die. Obviously a lie? Or a truth to something else?
7. I think Emma is going to be suspcious of Rumple for a long time but he will convince her they are on the same side. Then it’s Rumple/Emma/FTL good guys vs. Regina. I will always believe she is the true evil.
8. He’s Henry’s father and I think he’ll be introduced very early in our world in season 2."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 14, 2012 at 4:04 pm #146706an empty heartParticipant@Midnight Dreary wrote:

8. How will Baelfire play into this?1. Right now, I think Mr. Gold is the most powerful person in Storybrooke. But Emma is a close second. I definitely see her making a strong comeback by the end of season 2. The same goes for Regina.
2. Definitely not. He created the Dark Curse so that he could be reunited with him again. He sacrificed one world for another just to be with him again. There’s no way in hell he forgot about Baelfire.
3. I have no idea. π
4. I’m pretty sure she’s going to have the same reaction as she did in Fairytale land. She’ll try to convince him to slowly give up his powers. But it will definitely be a struggle. But in the end, it will work out. Belle is the only person who can break Rumpel’s curse. She’s the onnly one who can relinquish him from its evil. So, her role isn’t over just yet.
5. NO IDEA! π
6. NO IDEA! π
7. There seems to be many different battle being raged at the same time. All with various different players. Rumpel, Regina, Emma, the Blue Fairy. And then of course, there’s the missing link: Baelfire. He’s going to be the one to bring this all full circle. π
8. As I stated before, Baelfire is going to be the key to seeing how this all plays out. The curse began with him. The curse is about him. So, his reappearance (or possible death) will have a huge impact on the show as whole. Without him, the curse would not have existed.
May 14, 2012 at 4:08 pm #146709theoniongirlParticipantGiven that Mr. Gold and Belle were out in the woods by themselves when Emma broke the curse, do you think he knew? He already remembered, and he might have taken Belle suddenly remembering as a fluke. (Especially since she’d just been reunited with him …)
I was thinking that if he knew the curse was broken, perhaps he wouldn’t have dumped the potion in the well. I mean, he was about ready to take off from SB last week, banking on the curse being broken in one way or another, so why completely change his goal?
Or did he realize what had happened, and maybe it changed what he went out there to do?
Something’s … off. I mean, he was ready to give up everything for Baelfire a few weeks ago. What changed? Hmm.
Maybe he thought the potion would let him leave SB to look for Bael, but when Belle showed, he realized (1) what Regina had done and (2) Belle couldn’t leave. Hence, the purple cloud … a full-on declaration of war against Regina, in a way. (But why, then, did she look so darned pleased with it?)
Still just thinking it out. π

He’s going to be out for blood now that he knows about what happened to Belle. But Regina seemed to be a little too pleased when she saw the purple smoke. Hmm…

First, I believe Rumple doesn’t “love” magic, but power (of course he loves Bae and Belle, no argue on that, but, also the power, I think.). In FTL his magic was his power, but in SB his power was made of properties, money, etc, etc, etc. So, my opinion is that he was ready to leave and look for Bae, believing his power in a word without magic was enough to do so. But with the possibility of gaining his magic back, well, he went for it.
I personally believe – since the beginning of the season, actually – that Rumple is not ready for his redemption yet. He seems to have understood that he have to give up his power in order to Bae to accept him back, but I wonder if the key to find Bae would not be to give up his power first… (again, I think he still considers that he can’t find his son without his powers…)@TheOnionGirl wrote:

My guess is that she was happy to get her power back. At first she was devastated that the curse was broken and she would loose Henry, but when she realised magic was coming back, well… π

I have no doubt Rumple will want massive revenge against Regina. Maybe he wasn’t planning it initially, but I bet he is now. His whole “Regina DID THIS to you?” Oh yeah. Revenge.
Belle and Rumple will last forever. FOREVER. π On a more serious note, I think so. If it can last through him throwing her out and telling her he doesn’t love her..it can weather anything.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 15, 2012 at 12:07 am #146817JosephineParticipantI have so many thoughts about the finale running through my head, I don’t know where to begin. It’s like it’s just glazed over and nothing will come out. It could also be the sinus infection-triggered migraine I’m coming down off of or the medication.
What I can say is Regina better watch out, because Rumple with magic is more powerful than she will be. He’ll be bent on revenge.
All magic comes with a price. This is going to come back and bite Rumple on the rumpus.
