Does anybody know why the magic of rumple is now blue and not purple?
Heros don't get their Happy Ending!
I was thinking it might be blue for a couple reasons.
1: Because magic is different in Storybrooke?
2: To reflect his changing motivations and character. He was motivated by love rather than hate– maybe it showed through in his magic?
3: Or, is it a different TYPE of magic than we’ve seen before. I doubt this one is correct because I think we’ve seen him use ‘the force’ type magic, where he interacts directly and levitates things in the world… so I’m thinking it’s one of the first two, or maybe a combination of both. Thoughts?
I do not think that Storybrooke is the reason, because the magic he brought was purple and when he used magic to give Regina the book of hearts it was also purple. So I guess it is the second reason you mentioned, that he changed, and so his magic as well.

Alright. Place your bets. Who do you think will win? Rumpel or Hook? Technically, Hook has the moral high ground on this one. Wanting revenge for the death of your lover is understandable. However, his alliance with Cora may prove fatal. I can’t help but think that Cora is only using him as a mole to spy on Emma and Snow, but as soon as they reach Storybrooke, Cora will kill him.
Rumpel on the other hand, is the most powerful man in the world, and will probably team up with the most power woman in the world (Regina) in order to destroy Cora and Hook. So, Rumpel and Regina vs. Cora and Hook. Even though Rumpel and Regina are ridiculously powerful, I can’t help but think that Cora has something up her sleeves. 😯
I can’t help but suspect that Cora has a master plan stirring in that twisted brain of hers. I have a feeling she knows about the dagger. 🙁
Captain Hook seems pretty confident that he has a way. Remember, he promised Rumpelstiltskin that he would find a way to kill him, that he wouldn’t stop. He went to Neverland so that he would have all the time in the world to search and plan. He has been planning this for centuries.
I doubt he would suddenly want to combat without some plan ready to be enacted. Plus, I don’t think he and Cora are close–they only are using each other to find a way back to Storybrooke. 🙂

Good point. Hook, like Rumpel, has had hundreds of years to set his plan in motion. So, Rumpel might be caught off guard for whatever Hook throws at him.
And I hope he and Cora aren’t that loyal to each other. I’d hate for him to turn on Snow and Emma for Cora.

That’s my fear as well.
In a way it’s cool that Cora is in the picture – I am sooo hoping for the Regina-Rumple-Charmings union against her 😛

GAH! Me too! Rumpel and Regina are my two favorite characters, so the idea of them teaming up is like a dream come true!
