Yes, darcyfarrow. Please do ask Mr. Carlyle on Twitter if he knows about Rumple’s skin color changes. Maybe it’s a different make-up person every week? But I suspect they have that pretty well thought out, and it might be significant. Or not. Cheers!

I apologize in advance if someone else has already brought up this topic, (there are so many posts here! 😉 ) but I believe Rumpelstiltskin is fascinated with children due to their innocence. Like Belle said, something evil has taken root in him. Thus, he clings to something pure. He may also be lonely without his son. He could possibly want a child for company. What does everyone else think?

Hmm, it might be helpful to take note of who he’s with when his skin takes on a particular hue. Or maybe it’s what he’s doing…maybe more glittery when he’s making a deal, more grey when he’s spinning

And his skin clears up when he is in love (with Belle) It’s like a mood ring!

So, Rumpel is botting True Love. Interesting…very interesting. Is it for himself or for the curse? I have a feeling it’ll be for both.

The only issue I have with him using the “true love potion” for himself is that by Heart of Darkness episode, he thinks Belle is dead. And that is his true love (he started changing back into a man before he freaked out). So I don’t know how he would use it on himself.

I think he wants to use it on himself to break his curse. Maybe he wants to finish what Belle started.

If Rumpel wants the potion to end the Dark One curse then what is he waiting for. Why didn’t he take it right away?

I’ll bet lots of desperate souls ask Rumple about True Love, and broken hearts. I suspect that’s one of the most popular requests he gets. On the one hand, he’s a scientist/alchemist/magician giving people what they ask for (their deepest desires, whether it’s good for them or not) … That True Love potion has been one that has eluded him so far … Kind of made me chuckle–if he did such experiments today, he’d need Institutional Review Board approval. [Lots of red tape designed to make sure the experiments were ethical.] Did he “engineer” Emma to break the Dark Curse? I’ll bet—he had their DNA!

I think that he was just collecting ingredients to make the Dark Curse and the bottle of love was the final ingredient..
