What happened to Mulan? Wasn’t she with Robin Hood after she left Aurora and Prince Philip?

She’s hanging out with Ashely and Katherine in the “miscellaneous characters” plot hole.

Joking aside, no one knows. In reality, Jamie Chung is now over at NBC’s “Believe” but no explanation was given for Mulan on screen.

My own guess is that she’s off on some mission for Robin Hood, maybe in her old village.

TV schedules are really complicated… I guess if Ruby is back they can do the same for Mulan…

I like the theory that she’s on a mission and went back to her village…

    Thanks!

I guess they didn’t want to draw attention to her absence, but unfortunately for the writers, whether or not we’d see Mulan again with the Merry Men is a thing lots of people in the fandom have been hoping for/expecting, so her absence was obvious.

Jamie’s new show films in NYC, where she’s been living since working on it, so popping in for a very brief guest appearance really wasn’t practical.

Just a line from Robin during the reunion with Neal to say, “Oh hey, so Mulan decided to join the Merry Men, but then she decided to return to her old village, she left yesterday, you just missed her.” They could have had Belle say, “You know Mulan too?” and Robin be all, “YOU know Mulan too?” It coulda been another fun little bonding moment to build on what we already had. People still would have been bummed to not see her again, but at least there would have been an explanation.
