I just thought of another theory: Luke exploded in Odessa on June 13. It just seems a bit coincidental that he’s suddenly developing Ted Sprague powers.
Ooh! Maybe! 😯

October 5, 2015 at 7:17 pm #309287RumplesGirlKeymasterJust finished watching episode 3. Much better than episodes 1 and 2 and I’m starting to be drawn in a bit more. I don’t really have any theories or ideas, but I like more of what I’m seeing. Give me another week or so, and maybe I’ll have an idea or two.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 8, 2015 at 6:45 pm #309532Sci-Fi GirlParticipantA few more thoughts about Miko and her father, before watching tonight’s ep:
Her father is the author of the book that details “Katana Girl” and the world in the game. What if her father’s power is that things he writes or draws come to life? (If given enough detail.) There is certainly precedent in universe for art related powers. Also, I can think of two examples in Japanese folk tales!
The first is The Boy Who Drew Cats:
There is a boy who loves to draw cats, so much that he will stop whatever else he is doing and draw cats on any surface available. Eventually, all his cats come to life and defeat a rodent monster that was causing a famine. The boy who was previously seen as useless was then seen as a hero! (And presumably so were the cats. 😉 )
(Last year I did the 30 day trial of Amazon Prime, and one of the videos I watched was this Rabbit Ears production of the story. It is excellent, if anyone is interested. 🙂 )The second story is one I remember reading years ago, but I don’t remember what it is called, and I will probably get some of the details wrong. (If anyone knows the title, or comes across it online, I would love to see it! 🙂 ) From what I remember, there was a wonderful artist who sold all of his works unfinished. He would paint exquisite pictures, but always leave off the finishing detail, like a foot or a feather or an eye. One day he painted a crane, completing everything except the eye. But as he moved to put his brush down, one drop of ink fell exactly where the eye should be, completing the picture. The crane came to life, and flew away!!!
So it would be very fitting for Miko’s father to have a power like that! 😎

A Star Trek quote title, and Nazneen Contractor? Are they trying to rub in that Quinto is not showing up? 😆
Still loving Miko and Ren! Social network FTW! 😆 😀
I’m still convinced that the secret being hidden is Claire’s whereabouts. Molly even made sure to tell Noah that she saw Claire die, as if confirming the lie before taking herself out.
But, where could Claire be hiding, if they didn’t find her using Molly’s power? If she was anywhere on the planet it seems like they would have. So does that mean that she isn’t on the planet right now? We know that whatever happened was set in motion in the hospital. We also know that Hiro was there! SO, what if Hiro took Claire to another time, say a few years in the future so she could just appear on a certain date?
Am I crazy to be stuck on this theory?
I’m certainly ready for Hiro to show up already!

episode 5 review:
Hehe, Noah found an ark. 😉
Ok, so Renautas is the publisher of the Evernow games. I think I have figured out what they are up to. So they know an extinction event is coming, and plan to stop those who can save the world. They want to let it happen, and only save their chosen few, along with all those seed banks etc. But where are they sending everything, where it will be safe from what they described?
We know they have learned how to turn specific evo powers into technology. So what does that machine that makes things disappear do? I think it sends things into the video game!!! I think the machine is powered by Miko’s father (as in, he is locked inside it while it amplifies his power). It looks like this time, saving him will save the world! 😎
So evil Erica knows that Noah chose to forget something, and also knows it is a “who”. If the enemy knows the secret, then why can’t Noah?!?
One more theory: I think Tommy & Malina are siblings! 😮
Both of them were hunted and hidden since infancy, both are destined to have a PART in saving the world. (“You don’t have to save the world ALONE”). Both don’t know who their real parents are, and both are blond.
They will save the world together!!! 😀

October 28, 2015 at 10:23 am #311177Sci-Fi GirlParticipantEpisode 6!
Ok. Well my theory about the game was a little off, but I was closer than I might have been.
First of all, Hiro is finally back!!!!!! Yay!!! *jumps up and down*
Yeah. 😉 Anyway, so Hiro was powering the machine, to send people and supplies to the future! 😮 Well that took some guts! And the game was still key, as that is the only thing that could trap and exploit Hiro! (And now I get why it is called “Evernow”, if it is always now, you can’t time travel! 😆 )
Ah, but Miko. 🙁 She can’t really be dead! Either that, or they will change the timeline so these events won’t happen? If her father really made her in the game to replace his daughter who had died, he would not make her just to die again. He must have written some other way out. (And maybe Hiro reversing events was the plan. But then would she have been created in the first place?)
No. I am convinced her father came up with something better than that.
But I was right that her father had been exploited, he was forced to make the game to trap Hiro! And I also right that Miko is a creation from the game!
Now, he could have made Miko as a way to defeat them, once they forced him to make the game, but that’s not what I think happened. My headcanon is that he was already making the game and Miko to replace his daughter, and Renautas just took over his creation for their purposes. That’s why I think he wrote in a way for her to survive, no matter what happened. 🙂
(BTW, so Miko is Han Solo now? “I love you.” “I know.” 😆 )

So they are going back to June 13! “Promise me we won’t step on any butterflies”. AND THERE WAS A BUTTERFLY THERE!!!
What I’m struggling with, is: if Hiro and Noah change events on June 13, does that undo everything we have seen? Malina still has her guardian, Luke still has his son, etc.? But where is Miko in that case? Does she still meet Ren?
Or, it is possible that this trip is already included in the events that happened, and they can’t change anything, just understand what they did and know what to do next? Because we don’t know how long Hiro was trapped in the game. We do know there was footage of time anomalies at the hospital on June 13, so Hiro was there. But if *if* he was already trapped in the game, then that footage is from his trip there now!
It’s pretty confusing, we’ll just have to wait and find out!
—
So I was right that Tommy and Malina are meant to save the world together! No confirmation yet that they are siblings, but I think it’s very likely. And why did that comic say “Nathan goes to the future?” 😯
Oh, and do you think they could be twins? Or does she look older than him? Because speaking of Star Wars, is anyone getting a Luke and Lea vibe from those two? Raised separately, kept hidden, great destiny etc?

October 29, 2015 at 10:57 pm #311309Jiminy’s JournalParticipantThey did. The thing. I did not want them to do. They made Tommy a Petrelli. And Malina, too! Needless to say, the Petrelli family and the Charming-Stiltskin-Mills-Swan family are now one. This angers me. Too. Many. Petrellis!
November 5, 2015 at 9:56 am #311819Sci-Fi GirlParticipantLOL at Hiro’s lines!
“Oh, like Harry potter!”
“Great-a Scott-a!” (Gotta get a Back to the Future reference in.) 😉
The kids are Star Wars twins! I’ve been saying it for two (or was it three?) weeks! They totally went there! 😆
Did Hiro go back and save Mohinder after he found he couldn’t stop the explosion? Surely Mohinder is not a butterfly!

So, presumably Claire’s pregnancy messed with her powers? That is odd. But … why didn’t Noah check the back of her head? He made a big deal of it to the doctor, and then he didn’t even check!
Speaking of which, that doctor was acting awfully suspicious when he was blocking Noah. There may still be more to that story.
And seriously … WHO IS THE FATHER???!!!???
—
So. About the things that Noah “forgot”.
The thing we have to remember is that there were two Noahs on June 13th, doing very different things! It was Future!Noah who learned about the twins, and helped send them back in time! Past!Noah never learned that part in the first pace, so that is not what he forgot!
When Noah went back to the hospital, and saw footage of himself doing things he doesn’t remember, that was Future!Noah he saw. He didn’t forget those things, he just hadn’t done them yet. 🙂
We do know he forgot the whole day, but whatever he really needed to forget, I do not think we have seen it yet. It is most likely going to be that he meets himself, and must preserve the continuity of not knowing. He has to have something to investigate, or he won’t come back and save the twins. And only Future!Noah can do that, because he has seen the future that they need to save. 🙂
We know that Past!Noah is running around with penny guy. One or both of the Noahs probably ask him to take the memories.
So, now the ONLY missing piece is the actions of the Haitian and Molly. Molly I guess I get, if she knew the secret. Remember, Erica is looking for ONE child who will save the world. She does not know there are two! 😯 *cough*StarWars*cough*
The Haitian though is just baffling. Everything they do during the year would have to be to ensure that Future!Noah goes back and saves the twins. Killing him in the meantime would just doom the world! 😯
As far as the mind wipe in general, I’m sticking with my theory that Noah needed that big of a mystery, to make himself go looking, and go back in time. Gotta preserve the continuity of what he just did. 🙂

So we saw how Hiro was put into the game.
But I was confused by what we saw of Otomo. Ok, he put Hiro in the game. When did he leave a trail for Hiro to be rescued? Or, did Hiro do that from in the game? How does this lead to Miko?
Yeah, we need some explanations here.
—
So the nurse who raised Tommy/Nathan. When she walked in the room, she clearly recognized Hiro as one who brought him to her, and handed the baby straight to him. In a sort of wordless “here is my child, now go bring him to me”.
Thought, they had a conversation about “When did Claire manifest her powers” … And said 15?!? No! She survived a fire as an infant! That was her defining moment! And why use only Claire as a measure of when powers appear? Everyone manifests at a different age! That was just a random and lame excuse for wanting them to be teenagers, lol.
And, taking the babies to grow up in the past is not changing the timeline or fate, of course that was always meant to happen. No babies could save the world at one year old, so of course that time travel was always part of their destiny! It had to be included in Angela’s prophesy.
The strange thing is, that for all they found they could not change the past, I think they actually did change something, somehow. Because on Tommy/Nathan’s birthday, he said he knows what needs to happen, his father trained him well, etc. This is very different than the year-later-Tommy that we met at the beginning of the show.
Sure, he could have forgotten in the meantime, but why? He needs to know all this! What his purpose is, why the are on the run, and how to use his power to save the world! (For that matter, understanding his power should make being on the run super easy. 😉 )
More likely, he learned things this time around that he didn’t the first time. Though I have no idea what could have changed in the timeline. *shrug*
And who is he referring to as “father”? Did Hiro stay and teach him to control his power? 😮
—
And then we have Luke. So his son had that medical condition where he can’t ever be in sunlight. (I forget what it’s called.) And they were looking for an Evo to cure him. Though as one of them said, Evos are not magic, there may not be anyone who can do that.
So, what. Luke developed a sunlight power in … sympathy or something? *blink*
Whew, long post, LOL! 😆

November 5, 2015 at 10:56 pm #311861Jiminy’s JournalParticipantThis episode doesn’t make sense! Kring doesn’t know his own show! Peter’s power is empathic mimicry! It never siphoned the other person’s powers! And Tommy’s powers work completely differently from Hiro’s! It has a different effect! And, concerning part 1, Claire manifested from birth! And if Tommy forgetting Hiro and Caspar protecting Tommy were because of the timeline change, how were those already happening before the timeline change? And why didn’t Noah think in Japanese?
I mean, since when are the individual powers themselves genetic, anyway?
