We already found a lot of clues in Neal’s apartment in “Broken”, but I think there are still some clues to be discovered. So, did you find something ?
I don’t know if it’s really a clue, but I thought it was a bit odd, so here is the picture :
Neal’s apartment is quite dark so this poster immediately struck me, but I don’t know what’s written on it.
But that is probably one of the most interesting pictures :
Is there a link between Nealfire and the number 13 ? And did you notice the cards ?

I can’t really make out the poster in the first photo, but I think at the top it contains some nonsense words: Sled Bland. A quick internet search didn’t reveal anything with those words. In the second photo, there is a poster with a skeleton that looks like the Grim Reaper (associated with death) above the red sign with the number 13 (which according to superstition is unlucky). The number 13 is also repeated as the locker number, making me wonder what’s in the locker. The cards appear on the locker to be a royal flush from left to right in ascending order: 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace, straight in Clubs, like you’d find in a winning hand in a game of poker. Maybe the combined symbolism suggests that Baelfire/Neal gambled and cheated death. Baelfire associates his father, the Dark One, with death and destruction, and yet, ironically Bae/Neal managed to escape the fate of death for centuries after he went through the bean hole. How? Could he have gone to Neverland, a world without time? 💡

13 and the Grim reaper – It was Bae’s 14th birthday when Rumple became the Dark One, wasn’t it? So life as he knew it ended at 13.
On top of the bookshelf there’s a large, framed picture that looks like it could be two parents with their child standing in the middle. 3

The words above that, can’t make out the first one but I think the other two are “members of”. Given that there are 5 bold headings underneath, I guess the first word may be “five” and those headings are names? Can’t read them though, even if I screencap it at full screen and zoom in, it gets too blurry.

Clubs in tarot equals Wands
And this is what Wikipedia says (though not everyone agrees)
n divination, the suit of wands represents the element of fire and gives information relating to the traits of the fire element in astrology. Additionally it represents the peasant or farmer class of feudal society (the Latin suit is commonly called Staves or Rods), and relates to simplicity and to nature, as well as to poverty and submission. In The Book of Thoth, the suit of wands is associated with the action of the Will and the element of fire. (Baelfire! You know Bael is a demon name? I find that somewhat…surprising)
The suit represents the rural Third Estate (the farmers, laborers, and peasants).

Really love your thinking on this one Slurpeez.

A Canaanite deity…which would be considered a demon…or false god…is normally spelled Baal but can be spelled Bael.

Yes, there was a green light above his sink, like the flash of green created by the magical bean portal. I think it’s the color he sees in his nightmares of when his father released him to our world.

Brilliant! Yes, Baelfire’s last year of life would have been 13 if he’d fought in the Ogre War, but instead, he’s cheated death for over 250 years.

Awwwwe, could you imagine if Bae drew that photo as a boy to remind himself of the loving family he once had?
Here are a couple of other photos to analyze:
There was a bike by the gate, just in the lobby of Bae’s apartment, and then I saw this sign. I thought it was a somewhat funny breaking of the rules, making me think the bike could be Bae’s. Then Rumple and Henry blatantly skirted the law, Emma the sheriff, and broke into Bae’s apartment."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. Would love to know what someone thinks about this one…needs to be blown up or something…for me all I can think is that it looks like a nutcracker.

February 19, 2013 at 1:38 pm #174287RumplesGirlKeymasterThat green TV cracks me up. It’s just so GREEN.
One thing about his apartment that I noticed was how nice it was. Not necessarily anything inside it (except that crazy green TV) but rather what is NealFire doing with his life that he can afford a semi-ok apartment. Last time we saw him he was a thief, and when we were first introduced to him in “Broken” he was dressed quite nicely. Rumple wanted to break into his apartment to learn more about Bae, and I want to know more as well. What has he been doing with his life in NYC? He must have some sort of job, but still lives in a fear because of how he ran from Emma."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love" -
