Starting my Christmas shopping …. I usually give my gdS a bunch of kid movies for the holidays in his stocking … this is self preservation because he spends a lot of time at my house and I have to keep him occupied when the other ( neighbor) kids are not available. He is now old enough to watch some of the non animated kid movies … We have NIGHT at the Museum AND a lot of the Disney / Pixar and animated movies but I am trying to get him into other types of movies ( not to scary please had a recent problem with that)
What movies do you recommend? and why … I usually buy on Amazon or at Walmarts … I would especially like some of the classics.Thank you for any help…
BTW is TRON scary? he saw a preview and thought it looked cool… I thought it might be way over his head.

– Looney Tunes Back In Action is good. I think it moves quicker than Space Jam so that could be a good one. I liked it as a kid but haven’t seen it in years. I think it was a sequel to Space Jam, mixed live action with animation. Very funny.
– TMNT The 2007 one not the recent live action ninja turtles. . What kid doesn’t like Ninja Turtles.
– Of course there is the most recent Ninja Turtles movie, but he could have seen that one already:
– Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. I always recommend the book series, but the film was okay. Assuming he’s never read the books. If he has then the movie is a real downgrade. But it’s good and not scary or horror at all, very humorous. Salma Hayek has a beard!
– Aliens In The Attic
– Megamind
– Sky High.
– Casper Meets Wendy. Still a favorite in this household from when I was a kid so I couldn’t resist 😛
– Eragon. Robert Carlyle plays an evil sorcerer…thing in this one.
– Maybe Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas?
– Zathura!!
– Series Of Unfortunate Events
– Spiderwick Chronicles
– Hocus Pocus
– Halloween Town
– Narnia
–Justice League: Throne of Atlantis this has been on my list for awhile
I think basically any superhero movie will do actually 😛

October 28, 2015 at 12:31 am #311142TheWatcherParticipant– Cat In The Hat
– Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
– Shark Tale
– Last Airbender (especially if he’s a fan of the cartoon or the Korra spinoff which he’s probably seen)
– E.T (hey its a classic)
– Osmosis Jones
– Gremlins (hey…it’s technically a Christmas movie, right? LOL)
– George Of The Jungle
– Son Of The Mask (This one is a sequel to the mask, but I think its more child friendly and colorful and more cartoony than the first one which Is why I suggest this one. It has nothing to do with the first one anyway so he’d still understand it)
– Rugrats
