Based on spoilers from people that actually went to Parley fest it sounds like we're picking up with everyone abroad ship and sailing to Storybrooke. But maybe that cut scene would be too telling if she is a literary character and understands Bae having to race to a magical town to save his papa…
For me, it will be less of a troupe if she doesn’t put on this persona of overly needy/jealous/suspicious love rival to make the heroine look better by comparison – which is what I’m enjoying so far but I do agree it’s pretty unrealistic that she just ‘okay, have fun on this road trip that you refuse to explain with a woman I’ve never meet before (and probably never heard about.) I’ll just stay here in NY waiting and supporting you from a distance! Kisses! Should I water the plants?’

Yes, and the fact that Emma is royalty would make it all that much more sweeter.
If the fiancee is Tiger Lily — or Jasmine, since I think Neal would make a good Aladdin — then she’s a princess herself.

Darn, Tamara hasn’t done a darn thing but smile and offer her car up. What could she possibly have done as a character in the 20 seconds we saw her to warrant such hate?
Exactly. We don’t know anything else about her character at this point, other than being Neal’s fiance.
I can see Gold using Emma as a catalyst for a father-son reconciliation, but I don’t see a future relationship between her and Neal.

Although I will give you points for creativity, it is a little harsh to call a tv character that we all just met. She could very well be what you claim (although it being Disney I doubt it), but lets just give her the benefit of the doubt for now. She is a plot device to get Emma and Neal together (tvline.com said that the rest of this season is about the Emma and Neal figuring out what they do with loving each other and being back in each others lives- I am paraphrasing here.. and lets just trust that this is going to be an amazing ride filled with emotions.
I would love to see the scene pick up where it left off (when they cut to NY of course) so we can see just how Neal explains to his fiancee where he is going. I would LOVE to see THAT explanation, and how he explains who Emma is. 😉
March 7, 2013 at 2:18 am #177760thathelesParticipantNah, that was lack of creativity on my part… I’ve been trying to come up with a good variation of her name that personifies my dislike of her, but even I can admit that was way harsh and overboard…. sorry guys

She doesn’t know, or I’m assuming, she doesn’t know the whole situation. She doesn’t know who Emma is and I have a feeling Neal’s hidden most of his past to her. Then again we dont’ know her past, he did mention to Emma it was “Complicated” so there may be more to the scenario. And let’s be kind here and not resort to names. Yes she’s an obstacle for our OTP but have you ever known of any good show to just have a plain happy couple the entire time with no obstacles what-so-ever?

Well Said dena81 =) I agree!! I want a Swanfire endgame, but we should not judge so much with so little information…. I hope Tamara is lovely and perfect, that will only make it better for me, because it will prove that its not Tamara’s or Bae’s “fault” IF it does not work out. It will prove that even though she is lovely she is just not right for Bae, She is not perfect for Him, because his true love is Emma and always will be (well that is just my wishful thinking talking..)..I truly hope the writers have an interesting back story for Tamara, regardless of her relationship status. Really Really hoping she is more than just another plot device.
March 7, 2013 at 5:07 pm #177918winlea78ParticipantI don’t hate Tamara but I don’t think Gold will like the engagement. It won’t be personal on his part most likely. But like someone said Gold is Gold witch means he’s very ambiguous and opportunistic. What is the one thing he can give his son that all his money can’t buy? Royal title. And what would be Almost as good as being a prince or king? Being Very close and influencing/advising the king, his own son. I don’t know about you guys think or what Adam/Eddy plan to writebut that sounds just like something Rumple/Gold would plan
March 7, 2013 at 5:10 pm #177920KebParticipantGold likes power, because he is ruled by fear, and as he told Henry, when you control something, you no longer need fear it. But I don’t think he so much cares about royal titles.

March 7, 2013 at 5:27 pm #177929lilredParticipantI agree with keb – but would like to add that royal titles aren’t really carrying the same importance post-curse. IMHO, the people of Storybrooke are following Snow and Charming because they’ve worked with them before in a leadership position and trust them – not because they are the King and Queen of a land they may never return to..I don’t think Regina is even caring about the title of ‘Queen’ – just getting the power to have Henry again. Cora may be the last one connecting ‘power’ with ‘being Queen’ still, IMO.
