Based on Adam’s answer in regards to the curse affecting Neverland. I’m thinking it may not have affected it.
Now that it’s been confirmed that the vortex didn’t take Bae directly to our world as claimed in the episode “The Return” (a retcon I hate, but that’s another matter entirely), with Bae stating that he’d be couple hundred years old if that was the case, it’s only logical that at least one realm didn’t suffer from the curse’s effects and that Bae was there when it was cast. If not, Bae would’ve been taken by the curse, arrived at the same time as everyone else and be at least 42-43 in present day, not 35-36 as Neal’s age is intended to be.

Perhaps Neal was visting our world as Peter Pan often did and ended up here because the curse hit Neverland while he was away.
Of course, then that begs the question where are they headed in the finale according to the titles? Creating a Neverland world seems like it would be awfully costly for a show like this, but they created a minimal Wonderland. Should be an interesting twist.

Well, Hook went back to FTL before the curse hit to deliver Cora’s body to Regina, the curse did not take him there. Smee was brought to SB, and I have no idea how to explain that except that maybe Smee was originally from FTL not Neverland so that’s why it brought him. But so far it looks like nobody else was brought over from Neverland: no Lost Boys, no Pan. My question is how would it affect Neverland. We know the Curse did a few things: froze time, ravaged the land, and at least in SB made people forget their memories. The Curse wouldn’t affect the first one because Neverland’s time is already frozen. So it’s possible that it did the second do things, but I get the feeling Neverland was untouched by the Curse.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 17, 2013 at 1:05 pm #180446PheeParticipantWe don’t know that Smee was in Neverland when the curse hit. It’s entirely possible that he was on the ship with Hook when he returned to FTL, and was outside Cora’s bubble when the curse happened, so he ended up being taken to SB.
March 17, 2013 at 4:58 pm #180455MatthewPaulModeratorI thought in “The Doctor” it was said that Regina only brought over the people that she wanted. Regina most likely didn’t know anybody from Neverland aside from Hook, so she wouldn’t have had a reason to bring them to Storybrooke. As for why Smee was brought over, that is a good question…
March 17, 2013 at 4:59 pm #180456angiebelleParticipantI’m really wondering where they are going to take this. Are they all going to Neverland? Is the cast going to be split up again? I hope they don’t stop having Storybrooke on the show all together.
I don’t think all the other worlds were completely affected by the curse- that would just be too many people in one town! I think Regina handpicked a few specific people to come along- Jefferson, Whale, etc.
March 17, 2013 at 5:02 pm #180458RumplesGirlKeymasterI don’t think they can get rid of SB altogether, it’s too vital to the show. But they also already sent some cast members to another land (Snow and Emma) while keeping others in SB, so I don’t think they’ll repeat themselves, which is why I think the entire core cast is heading off to Neverland.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 17, 2013 at 6:54 pm #180477PriceofMagicParticipantPerhaps Henry ends up getting sent to Neverland alone, maybe courtesy of Rumple, and becomes press ganged into being one of the Lost Boys. He would then meet Peter Pan. Whereas Peter and the Lost Boys want to stay young and play in Neverland forever, Henry wants to go home and grow up. Since Peter nad the Lost Boys are anti-adult, it wouldn’t make sense for Emma and company to be with Henry.
However, since Emma doesn’t want to leave Henry in Neverland, she finds a way to get there with Neal. Hook tags along too as their guide. Bae, perhaps being a former lost boy, would know where Peter’s hide out is whereas Hook doesn’t. Both Hook and Neal would have to go because Hook has the means to get to Neverland (his ship enchanted with fairy dust) and Neal would have the local knowledge (where Peter Pan’s hideout is).
During the course of season 3, the CaptainSwan/Swanfire triangle can play out with Hook and Bae trying to one up each other in Emma’s affections.

Keeper of FelixMarch 17, 2013 at 6:59 pm #180479RumplesGirlKeymasterI think without a doubt that Henry, Emma, Hook, and Neal have to end up in Neverland at the end of S2. The rest of the cast is up for debate, but personally, they did the split cast thing in S2 and now I think it’s time for them all to have this adventure together (especially given that they are basically all family now).
I can see Henry loving Neverland and wanting to stay there. He might even become a “new” Peter Pan (much like his Father Nealfire Pan). That boy loves his adventure stories. But it’s his family that keeps trying to get back to SB. Lots of conflict if that plays out.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 17, 2013 at 7:42 pm #180488PriceofMagicParticipantI don’t think they would send the whole cast to Neverland because it would cut out the use of Storybrooke and if the real world is meant to start infringing on Storybrooke then it especially wouldn’t make sense for Snow and Charming to just up and leave, leaving all the background characters like Whale, Gepetto, Granny and the like to deal with that.
Sending Emma and Neal with Hook on a quest to Neverland to find their son would make it different enough from season 2.
