Yeah he’s a terrible villain. 😆 I can’t remember who said it but somewhere on these forums someone once described Hook as either “a good guy in a villains body or a villain in a good guys body.”
The only thing is, how is Maleficiant alive in SB? Emma killed her?

Trolls. Both of them. 😀
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 24, 2013 at 2:48 pm #188333PanTheManParticipantDavid cut off a dragons head to kill it in The Shepard. Emma only stabbed the dragon in the season 1 finale. I’d like to think it’s harder than that to kill Maleficent. Can’t wait to learn more about her.

Lol! Yep! 😆

The writers said that. “He’s a hero trapped inside a villains body or a villain trapped inside a heroes body”.
That actually to me went well with the whole Peter Pan=Killian theory.
Ideally you can say that the Killian Jones is the person he was before the hook and he was a ladies man, courageous, a leader, cocky… all qualities associated with Pan in his youth and he did know about Neverland before he went there with the Hook which to me suggests that he and his crew have been to Neverland before. This is also encouraging of the theory, traditionally in every adaptation of the tale Hook’s crew hates him, yet on Once his crew has loads of respect for him and treat him like a brother and vice verca. This could suggest the traditional conclusion of the tale. When Pan beats the original Captain the lost boys become his crew on The Jolly Roger. In this adaptation they might have left Neverland on the JR and all grew up alongside their leader.
He meets Milah( a mother no less) which is probably what attracted her to him. Pan always looked to a mother figure like Wendy. He then becomes Captain Hook and returns to the place where as a youth he knew so well, returning strictly with revenge on his mind. Since he’s an adult though he needs another way to get there, so that’s where the magical bean enters into the equation.
The only time we have ever really seen the Killian Jones side and not the Captain Hook side was when he went up the beanstalk with Emma. I think that’s the best time where we saw whom Killian was in The Crocodile flashback. Other times have been when he was talking to Emma in the hospital and saving Aurora’s heart.
To me the purpose of the quote is a new take on the rivalry between Hook and Pan. This time it’s all an inner struggle inside of Killian Jones. He has his Pan side which is Killian Jones and he has his Captain Hook side and they clash inside of him consistently.
Yes though everything that the show is doing with Hook’s character completely contradicts him being a villain. He’s clearly not really a villain at all. When he gets bested and screwed by every other vindictive villain, when his return draws sympathy from the audience instead of trouble for SB, and when more than likely he’s going to be fighting a dragon in the upcoming episode which only the heroes have ever done(Emma and Charming).
April 24, 2013 at 7:00 pm #188401RumplesGirlKeymasterVery nicely laid out, Hookian. While I’m not 100% sold on the Hook = Pan theory, I still look forward to seeing what happens!

Love that quote, RG! So true! As for Maleficent being dead or alive, probably one of three things:
She was living in the body of the dragon but somehow wasn’t the dragon (or the dragon was brave, truthful and unselfish and therefore could be brought back to life)
She wasn’t really dead, just wounded. Just like Chip. 🙁
Or she was in a coma. Like David.

^This.
The theory combined with the idea Hookian had that Hook will be left to face Malli makes me wonder, if maybe Malli was Regina’s “Plan B” for wiping out Storybrooke. Why did Regina bring her over, and why did Rumpel want to hide the true love potion in her specifically? How was she Regina’s “only friend”….I fear these plot points will be dropped. If Hook does have to face her, I imagine she’ll get dispatched pretty quick and that will be the end of her.
