Whole entire conversation disappeared I was on chat and had two tabs open one was recent spoilers and the other was the different threads, it was working fine and I could see the conversation on both pages. When I clicked on a thread and looked the entire conversation had disappeared and the last comments were from 2 hours ago. I closed the tab and left the other open, refreshed the page and tried logging in and out, nothing reappeared. I continued typing in chat and then again whatever I or the other person had posted disappeared showing the same last comments again but from 2 hours ago as previously.
I am having the same exact problem Amy.
Felie mentioned in the chat that so far, all of the people having this problem are using Internet Explorer. That might help Daniel solve it on a technical side. Or at least, some determined people could try a different browser. 🙂

October 18, 2014 at 11:32 pm #286059RumplesGirlKeymasterA host of problems.
1) My avatar has gone missing
2) People who are logged in are coming up as “ChatWING”
3) @RumpleGoldFan wasn’t able to chat with her name or her avatar and was unable to get into the CS thread

Does anyone else keep getting messages saying they have been idle for more than 15 WHILE they are in the process of typing a post in a thread? Then it kicks you out of the posting box and throws you back up to the top of the page?

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 13, 2014 at 11:04 am #293079PheeParticipantThere seems to be some inconsistency with how people see the new chat and the options it gives them.
Some people have an option to hide the user list. I gather the people who have that option see the “number online” in the top corner and have an option to hide the users.
Some others, like myself, have the “number online” at the BOTTOM of the list of users, and we have no option to hide the users, so we’re stuck with the column taking up about a quarter of the chat window.
I opened the chat in a new window and still had the same setup.
I also gather some people can click somewhere to read back through an archive, but others can’t. I can only scroll back a little way before I run out of previous chat that I can see.
December 13, 2014 at 2:04 pm #293089TheWatcherParticipantwith the new chat. I have to refresh in order to see new posts sometimes. Like, I will type a post and click enter and nothing appears until I refresh the page. If I type something else without refreshing it won’t even appear even if I refresh. Just reporting.

But on the computer, like I said in my previous post, “number online” is near the bottom right corner and there’s no link to hide the users.

@Phee, what you observed is called responsive web design. It’s where elements of a website will respond based on the size of your browser window. When the chat room got wide, it would display the online people on the right. When it was narrow, it would display on the top. But considering that more people want to chat than see who else is online, I changed the option for the online users to always be on the top.
@TheWatcher, you still see everyone else’s messages, right? What browser are you using?December 14, 2014 at 5:57 pm #293164TheWatcherParticipant@TheWatcher, you still see everyone else’s messages, right? What browser are you using
I am using Internet Explorer. I can see the messages of others but once I type my own, nothing else appears. I’d have yo refresh the page to see new messages.
