Ever wonder what the children of Disney characters such as Belle and the prince from “Beauty and the Beast” would look like?
The Disney Channel is developing a live-action TV movie titled “Descendants” that will feature the couple’s teenage son, who is set to take the throne, as well as the teenage kids of other beloved animated Disney characters such as Aurora from “Sleeping Beauty,” Rapunzel and Mulan, as well as of popular villains such as Maleficent and Jafar, who are currently in prison on a forbidden island.
The son of Belle and the Beast (turned-prince-turned-king) is faced with a daunting task — he offers the baddies’ trouble-making children — named Carlos, Mal, Evvie and Jay — the chance to enter the kingdom AND attend the same prep school as the former children. Drama!
“The evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom?” the Disney Channel said in a statement to OTRC.com on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
“The Descendants” is set to premiere in the spring of 2015 on the Disney Channel and will be directed by Kenny Ortega, who helmed Disney’s “High School Musical” TV and big-screen movies, as well as the 2011 “Footloose” remake.
“We mined Disney’s treasure trove of stories and developed a new, comedic approach to the fabled characters everyone knows and loves,” said Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide. “The result is a modern and unexpected re-interpretation of classic heritage characters utilizing contemporary, relatable settings and themes.”

From what I can see we have the daughter of Fairy Godmother (middle) Belle and Beast’s son (next to her), Perhaps the child of Mulan in the back on the left, perhaps the daughter of Aurora next to Belle’s son and yeah, idk who the other girl in the back is…. Im looking at the cast list and the children who are set to appear and I cant figure out who she is. Anyway, apparently Dopey is also set to have a son named Doug too.

Isn’t that hilarious. So this film is borrowing a fairy (Keegan) and a genie from us lol.
