Is Queen Leah over a century old? Because Audrey said she shouldn’t talk to Mal unless she wanted to take another “hundred year nap”.
How does Mal know what wifi is if she has never had it? Why would she even miss it? She’s been on the isle her whole life afterall.
Isn’t bringing the villains back to life just to imprison them kind of evil?
Why is everyone so afraid of Maleficent? She has no magic? What makes her the HFIC if she is technically on equal ground with everyone else. I know from the book (I read the first chapter) she still has her minions but still, why do they obey her? She can’t give them anything or punish them.
Did the barrier ever get back up and running?
If Mal grew up on the isle her whole life…and the isle has no magic…..how does she know how to use it?

Well the actress who plays Mal, Dove Cameron, said that Mal was a half-fairy I think. Mal’s father is human.
I don’t think Jay’s a genie, and Jane should be a Fairy given who her mother is…and I wonder about Queen Leah too….maybe Maleficent’s mother originally cursed Queen Leah?
In the Isle of the Lost, it was explained that the villains had wifi, but could not connected to Auradon’s.
I wonder myself too TW, if they’re already dead….why would you bring them back to life only to imprison them and their kids forever?!!!! And I think the reason everyone was still so scared of Maleficent was because they knew that somehow, one day they’d get off that island, and Maleficent is known for holding a grudge for the simplest things.
Why do I get the feeling they forgot all about the barrier being down???!!!

So….Pretty much this film is every Disney Channel film every created except with Disney Villains in it….It was fun. I liked it. I’ll watch it if it’s on TV.
As for who the other side of parents are….it’s explained in the novel Isle of the Lost.
Okay, but I shouldn’t have to read a novel in order to get a basic genealogy chart. I mean, cut a song and give some exposition if you have to. The job as a writer is to explain your characters; not knowing who their parents is bothersome, especially since the relationship with the parents is at the heart of the entire movie.
LOL…RG just pretty much summed up the issues with the Star Wars expanded universe when it comes to the Prequel Era. 😛

I hope not!!!!! Maleficent has to stay evil….right? I mean…hmmm. Maleficent has a sympathetic back story in one film. And she’s kinda sort of good-ish dark in OUAT…. But hmm. No, no! This mal has to stay evulz!!!! For the sequel I think she should gain her normal form again and act as the villain, rallying the other Disney villains against auradon and mal must rally the villain kids against their parents. And then maybe in the end, mal has some sort of slightly redeeming moment but she never actually turns good.

Now that actually sounds like a good idea….because clearly the Villains are on their way off that Island. Disney Villains vs Villains Descendants….I’m for it! But I can’t fight that hunch that they’re working their way to Maleficent becoming an anti-hero rather than a Hero….Fairy God Mother hinted at this when she said Maleficent shrunk herself to the size of love in her heart(which I think was only for Mal), and that to turn back, she’d have to learn to love again and the only way I see that happening is through her daughter.
Imagine The Grinch happening with Maleficent….the love in her heart growing! I would pay money to see Kristin Chenoweth reenact that with her theatrics!!
And I highly doubt they can just shove all those villains back onto that Isle….half of them were dead when they were resurrected on the Isle, but now with their powers back….it’s going to be a fight to take them down. And I guess it’s just a part of me feels sorry for Maleficent….she was once just like Mal but didn’t have friends or true love to stop her from going down that path of darkness her mother led her on….ooohhhhh!!! What if Maleficent’s mother comes back into the picture??!!!!!

Speaking of Aladdin, it was odd that they didn’t show him, Jasmine or their offspring in this movie,; despite Jafar and his son being involved.
