Looks like another new novel is on its way! Once Upon a Time: Red’s Untold Tale is listed on Amazon for release on September 22nd.
Red is 16 and lives with Granny in a cottage in the village, where boarding up the house and hiding during Wolfstime is a means of survival. Red help’s Granny with Granny’s baked good business, catering as well as door-to-door sales.

Sounds interesting, but I would’ve much rather have seen Meghan Ory return to finish up Ruby’s untold tale in the show.

Sadly, all of these actors just aren’t always available. That’s why Graham and Jefferson both got graphic novel stories, too. I should mention that unlike the graphic novels, the author of this novel isn’t one of the Once Upon a Time staff writers. Her name is Wendy Toliver.

Re-Awakened was bad because it was just a re-telling of Season 1, but with alternate dialogue and plot elements. The first graphic novel was actually decent.

Meghan Ory isn’t in high demand elsewhere like Jamie Dornan and Seb Stan. And she’s a Vancouver local. The only excuse for not having her back on OUAT is that they can’t be bothered with Red any more.

And you’d think as Snow White’s bestfriend she’d have more of a role but apparently not. I mean having a bestfriend werewolf could have made for some pretty awesome scenes…
