That is true–I would love to see Seb. I think Grumpy being a recurring character would mean he would not be lost to OUAT for a 1 time appearance in the pilot or something.
It’s my belief that, while bringing main characters from OUAT often does risk them overshadowing the spin-off’s own regular cast, the same isn’t necessarily true with the parent show’s secondary ones. Ignoring actor/actress availability, characters like Grumpy, Red, August (if he wasn’t so stupidly transformed into a 7-year-old boy again), Philip, Aurora, Mulan and Robin Hood are, or have the potential to be, dense enough to play an interesting part in an arc of OUATinWL, giving us that sense of a shared universe without the risk of overshadowing Alice and her cast. The same is valid for potential spin-off’s secondary characters guest starring on OUAT.

Interesting. I think I had the impression that SB would come in somewhere in the middle when Alice and the White Rabbit and the other guy (can’t remember his character) are world jumping looking for Cyrus…

Hasn’t it been said that the pilot ep begins in SB? The short version of the pilot as it stands right now at least. I’d been thinking that SB would essentially make a cameo appearance in the pilot, and that connection would be elaborated on later.
May 30, 2013 at 12:38 pm #196554RumplesGirlKeymasterWhat I was picturing is that the show would open with the Wraith so that you would know where in OUAT we were but then it’s going to go *back* to Victorian London with Alice locked up, signing her life away for electroshock therapy (I think that’s what they were alluding to) and then she escapes with the Knave and the White Rabbit and ends up jumping through time to SB at one point, meeting Granny and Belle (maybe that event takes place after ASOTM) on her quest to find Cyrus.
This is all in my head though.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 30, 2013 at 2:15 pm #196575PheeParticipantI found it curious that Cyrus falls into glowing orange nothingness, and the inside of the hole in Granny’s floor appears to be glowing orange. So I’m thinking maybe SB is where Cyrus ends up, and therefore, it’s eventually where Alice, Rabbit and Knave (ARK?) will end up too, if they’re searching for him.
So the first scene in the ep is that one in Granny’s from the promo. Cryus pops up. They have a shot of the Wraith to establish timeline. Then we go back to get stuck into Alice and Cyrus’ story, beginning with her in the asylum.
May 30, 2013 at 2:24 pm #196577HappyEndingsSpectatorOk, I thought SB wasn’t going to be a part of this Wonderland thing. If that is the case then I am really through with Once. I understood them to be two separate stories and they weren’t to be intwined with each other. I never did like the WL story orginally, nor does this new one interested me the story starts out like most other stories do when I saw the trailer and that turned me off futher of even giving it a chance. 👿

Hmmm. So where is Cyrus now? If he was in SB for the whole of S2, there hasn’t been any sort of indication that he was there. I haven’t seen him randomly on the street I mean. Which is fine, but we need to explain where he was. Jefferson’s house?

So far as I can tell, Storybrooke is going to appear as a cameo instead of a location. I think OUAT will stay OUAT but OUATinWL will occasionally be in SB and run into some of our characters, like Granny. You don’t have to watch OUATinWL to still watch OUAT. You can just watch OUAT and be fine.

Interesting thought. I was expecting a present day Cyrus to be seen only by mid-season at best, since the initial premise seems to be Alice’s search for him, but that could be as well.
