[adrotate group="5"]Saw that as well, and thought the same thing. Wondering what that could be, my first thought was wormhole, then a Neverland portal, then I thought of LOST and the light coming out of the cave and groaned. Definitely need a better quality to look at:)
I think the green vortex is Oz. I have a feeling Baelfire falls into Oz and the people deem him the new Wizard of Oz because he has the powerful dagger. Hopefully, this will be August’s genisis story. Maybe that’s why August wants to kill Mr. Gold. The Wizard’s greatest plight was that he wasn’t a real wizard. Maybe August wants to kill Rumpel so that he can go back to his people and finally tell them that he is in fact a wizard. This could also explain his “I’m not a liar” line to Emma. Everyone seemed to think it was about Pinocchio, but it could be in reference to Oz.
Speaking of the dagger, I’ll bet every sent to my name that the dagger is from Oz. There’s something about the name “Zoso” that reminds me of the name “Oz.”
To go with that video. You see how in the end Emma kills something well you know how in the show they say if you kill someone you become just as evil. In this commercial it looks like she kills Regina?? what does this mean?
There’s a lot of speculation about what the green vortex could be: a portal to another world, a portal to our world, a portal to FTL, a portal to Oz. So, I’ll add my guess and say it’s a portal to Neverland.

Either that scene is Regina’s nightmare, or it is real. If it is a real event, then I don’t think Emma would kill Regina, since presumably Snow White and Prince Charming would warn their daughter not to tarnish her soul and become as dark as the one she kills. Perhaps Emma is just swinging her sword in Regina’s direction but comes short, just to scare Regina. Perhaps Emma uses the sword to slice off a branch from the apple tree, which would be similar to a scene in episode 2 when Emma uses a chain saw to prune the apple tree. There is some special link between Regina and the apple tree. Back in episode 2, Regina made a speech about how the honey comb apple tree can survive any storm, which is why I think the apple tree is a metaphor for the tree itself. Perhaps if you harm the apple tree, you also harm Regina, (but without all the horrible repercussions of killing Regina directly).

I don’t think that the vortex can be to fairytale land because i think that Rumpel and Bae are in fairytale land so i think that vortex is to somewhere else.
I think the idea that the tree is in the middle of town makes it seem dream like more then anything.

What if Bae got pulled to our world through the green vortex? Maybe August really is Bae and this is how he came to our world and then later found Emma ….
Although …. now that I think about it …. Wasn’t it said that a 7 year old boy found Emma and Bae is older isn’t he?
