The Belle and Rumpelstiltskin moments looked really romantic, and it was heartbreaking to see Belle screaming at Regina how she would never give up.
I like a bit of a recap with all the other characters, but it would have been nice to see more new scenes with them, too. But I guess if they showed anymore, the might as well just show the episode early, given all the clips and trailers they released and all.
Yes, it was nice seeing them. K&H did say recently that the second half of the season would feature a lot more of Rumbelle, so that might be why there’s so much new footage of them while there’s not much new footage of the other characters.
I don’t mind Captain Hook being in the video, but I don’t really get him being with Emma. Nothing has been confirmed to happen between the two of them. In fact, him and Emma will be separated for a while, since Emma is going to complete the favor she owes Rumpelstiltskin.
Yes, it makes sense that he’s in there because he’ll be a regular soon and that he’s a popular new character. As for him being with Emma in the clip, it doesn’t bother me because I don’t think the promo people actually watch the show at all. Like off the top of my head, they made a big deal about Hook being a worse villain than Rumpelstiltskin, and we know that’s not even close to being true even if Rumpel redeems himself by the end of the series. They also gave away who Dr. Whale was which killed the ending of The Doctor. I know there’s a bunch of other things that they’ve done that didn’t make any sense too. I just ignored that part and focused in on the clips with her and her family.
Here’s a recent Jennifer Morrison quote about Cora and Hook coming to Storybrooke, and it’s all about protecting Henry from them.
“No one’s going to be happy” about the arrival of the pirate brig’s passengers, says Jennifer Morrison. “It’s too much of a threat to everything that we care about.” Speaking in character, she adds, “I don’t really know that much about all these people from this other land, but I do know that those two are dangerous, so I’m certainly not going to want them anywhere near my kid.”

I heard about there being more Rumbelle–it will be good to see more of them together. I just hope it won’t be the same drama of Rumpelstiltskin lying or hiding something from her like he had before.
I hadn’t about the people in charge of the promos not watching the show–but I’d think that the network would tell them what to show. But then again, they have all spoiled a lot on the show. 🙄 I like how Jennifer really talked about Emma and points out her main concern–Henry’s health and happiness.

Yes, I know it’s too soon for them to get their happily ever after right now, but I don’t want them to keep breaking up over the same things (no matter how true to life that is for some people) because it would be too much like what happened to David and Mary Margaret last year where they kept breaking up because David was “married” to Kathryn.

You would think so, but I don’t think they really care that much otherwise I don’t think they would have spoiled who Dr. Whale was or spoil that Emma kisses Henry to save his life last year. Maybe they figure that it’s only the hardcore fans that record the promos and watch them over and over again, and the regular fans that just watch the show but don’t go on the Internet or anything like that just see a commercial for the show and it reminds them to watch the new episode.
Also, here’s another quote from here, http://www.ksitetv.com/once-upon-a-time/once-upon-a-time-bosses-tease-character-relationships-as-the-show-returns-this-sunday/18504 about Emma’s love life this season.
“The love of Emma’s life last year was Henry, and this year, we actually met the one person she’s fallen in love with. So, Hook is obviously eye candy. I don’t know if she would stare at him and think he would be a good father to Henry, but he might be fun in Vegas. What’s interesting about Emma is that now that she’s found her family, now that the shock of ‘they’re the same age as me’ has worn off, they’re starting to become a family, and she’s starting to settle down, and a lot of the anger and the walls that she’s put up throughout her life are going to maybe be able to broken, but not as quickly as you’d like. There’s still healing to do, but I think that includes her heart, so it’s a matter of who wins it,” he continues. And on the subject of Emma’s past loves, might we see Henry meeting his father this year? “I would be really disappointed if we went through the season and we didn’t show that. That would suck,” Kitsis says.
January 3, 2013 at 6:00 am #166836elleParticipantOh, that last quote really made my day. Especially the part about him being fun for Vegas. 😆 And it does make sense–Emma’s priority will always been Henry. He will be her main concern–I doubt Captain Hook would be really good with Henry. 🙂 Seeing as Milah ran off with Captain Hook, and he didn’t seem to give a hoot about Baelfire. Also, he seems to be someone who likes parties, excitement, adventure, and all that.
I get real life drama–sadly–but I am just a little annoyed at Rumpelstiltskin doing the same mistakes over. Not listening to Belle. Not trusting her with his secrets. But I do love them, and I am not too worried about them. Like last season with Snow White and Prince Charming, I know Belle and Rumpelstiltskin will be together. It’s just going to take some time. 🙂
I’m guessing they don’t really care about promos–networks seems to but a lot in trailers and clips. That’s why everyone is able to know everything before it airs, I guess.

Oh my, the Rumbelle moments. How romantic! Belle shouting, “You can’t keep us apart. I’ll never stop fighting for him.” Could that mean she really was trying to get back to him after he kicked her out in the Enchanted Forest. Ack. I just can’t.
Maybe.
