Technically, he did not lie. He said that true love was the only way to save Henry, and it was. He said he would be all right. Maybe he knew that Emma would break the curse by kissing her son, and that would explain why he got the potion anyway: he knew the curse was to be broken, and he could bring magic back. Just a theory, but…

He does toy with people. And I really hope that comes back to bite him. 😆
December 31, 2012 at 11:29 pm #166694tiara_roseParticipantOh, yeah it will, when he find out, what risk he always take with Henry. The first with the love potion, but don’t forget that he wanted to send Henry in the room of fire immediately after he was injured. He let Regina adopt him. I think he knows what this woman did to Hansel and Gretel and the other children she let in the witch house to get the poisoned apple. I mean he created the monster.

December 31, 2012 at 11:39 pm #166696elleParticipantYes. I hope this will show him the consequences of his actions. 🙂 I was a bit surprised that he was willing to let Henry be in pain–I guess his fondness only went so far, though in his defense, Cora is pretty freaky. I do hope for remorse when he realizes what kind of pain he put Henry through, and Baelfire, too.
That is one of the reasons why I respect Rumpelstiltskin just a bit more than Regina–he would never hurt children, nor would he hurt an innocent the way she has.
December 31, 2012 at 11:52 pm #166697JosephineParticipantThat’s why I’m having a hard time with Regina being redeemed. Regina sent children to their death knowingly. I know people bring up the Graham slave thing and the killing of her father, but it’s going to take a lot for me to get over her actions in “True North”. But then I also have issues with the Blue Fairy for not stopping the Ogre War and sending children to their death, too.
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.
December 31, 2012 at 11:54 pm #166698tiara_roseParticipantI think the problem with Regina and children are that they betrayed her. It was little Snow White, who could not shut her mouth . It was Hansel and Gretel, who didn’t want her, altough she wanted to be their mother (in a really scary and twisted way). She say it herself that she hadn’t love for a long time.
Rumple was already a father and there is nothing else more important than your own child. I think that when Snow would have to choose Charming or Emma, her choice would be Emma and also Charming would choose Emma over Snow, because the child will always be the most important person in your own live.
So Regina before she get Henry had never this emotional experience of a mother and so it is clear while she could do cold hearted send children in their death, because for her children are small little mean people, who betrayed you.

January 1, 2013 at 2:44 am #166703elleParticipantThat is also why I am not 100% siding with Regina–and sorry for the lateness in my reply. 😳
I agree Josephine. This woman has done so much, has not truly felt any remorse, and all of a sudden, all the characters are supposed to feel sorry for her and invite her dinner and all. I could do a whole rant of this, but that would be annoying, I think. 🙂
So then comparing her with children, to people like Regina and Snow white and Prince Charming and Emma and all the other characters, I just cannot fully be okay with her. She is not stable–I don’t think she would able be stable.
And I agree tiara_rose. Both Snow White and Prince Charming will always just Emma over each other. Just like Emma will always choose Henry over them–she burned down the wardrobe to keep Henry safe.
Rumpelstiltskin has done a lot of things, but like I said, I doubt he would ever harm a child. He grew up seeing children get killed. He saw how familes were torn apart over war, and he became the Dark One not only to save Baelfire, but to save children from the battlefield as well.
I haven’t liked the Blue Fairy since Dreamy, where she told him that it was impossible that Dreamy and Nova to be together. True Love is supposed to be magic. It is supposed to create happiness. Yet Dwarves cannot love? 😡 And then her lie to Snow White and Prince Charming about the wardrobe sealed my dislike forever.

Thanks for the link. Looks suspect to me, not even really talking about the pixelation, but the composition is weird and wonky looking IMO. I’m guessing someone took the rumours about Emilie having been in a hospital gown costume and Photoshopped this image. Belle may well end up in hospital, but I’d take the costume rumour as more evidence of that, and don’t put any stock in this particular pic.

I’m with you. The pixelation and quality of the photo make me think that it’s been photoshopped.
