Yeah, and this happened centuries before the curse, so if this vortex drags Bae to our world, he’d be long dead. If they want Bae to be in our current day timeline at all, there will need to be some explanation of how he’s lived so long. That’s why I think he ended up in Neverland as Peter Pan, and I think this scene will show how he ended up there.
If in future seasons they develop the ability to travel between worlds, (which Jefferson has possibly done via Emma’s hat), Mr Gold could go on a search for his son. My theory on why Rumple made the curse involves him ridding himself of the Dark One curse, which we’ll see him promise to Bae in this ep. As he’s now rid of that curse, I believe he’d jump at the opportunity to find Bae so he can show him he kept the promise, and they can be reunited.
[adrotate group="5"]I actually don’t want them to do time travel in this show. I don’t mind it at times. And i liked how they did it in LOST where they did not change the past just actualized it, but i don’t think it would work in ONCE. I think it would just cause inconsistency problems and i would rather they didn’t.
Time travel can get complicated. But if the other magical lands still exist and are going about their business as per usual at the same time the Storybrooke events are unfolding, and if Emma’s made a magical hat that can be used to travel between worlds, that wouldn’t actually involve time travel, just travel to a parallel world.
So, for example, if Bae is stuck in Neverland today, still the same age he was centuries ago, Mr Gold could just pop on over and find him. Though he’d need to find a way around the rules of “same number that go in must come out” if he wants to bring Bae back to Storybrooke.
Well if he is just trapped in Neverland not aging then that is fine. I just think Bae going through the portal and the popping into our world in the present causes a time issue because Bae would have lived centuries ago.
Hmm, maybe Bae didn’t travel through time. Maybe he was sent to Oz or Neverland, but remained there for centuries. This would definitely be possible for him in Neverland. So, maybe he lived in Neverland for hundreds and hundreds of years, but when the curse came, the fairies sent the children through another portal to save them.
So lets say they go to Neverland both Bae and Pinnochio and the fairies protect them there. Bae meets Pinnochio cneturies later when he arrives and the fairies give them their mission, they must save FTL, but first Emma who is to be transported to the side of the road — enter 7 year old Pinnochio/August who finds Emma and begins to grow up, not being under the curse. That would make him around 35 years old now. Does that fit?
We see in sneak peek 4 Pinnochio/August needing to accelerate the plan because perhaps he is turning back into wood, having entered SB and the affects of the curse. Surely he is not talking to Regina, Rumpel, Emma or Henry, who know the truth. So who is he talking to that would know about what is happening — someone who was not affected by the curse as well — Bae, who if he came back to our world with Pinnochio and started aging would now be around 42 years old. If Bae had the “knife” it is possible he could have given it to August or drew him the picture so he could look for it in SB.
I’m not an Oz theorist so in my mind it is possible both Bae and Pinnochio went to Neverland where Bae was Peter Pan or both were lost boys, that would explain Bae still being alive.

On a mission, working together to help Emma believe and break the curse.I thought about it- and while I don’t think August is Peter Pan, the idea that Bae ended up in Neverland and became Peter is cool and could work! After seeing that promo, it does look as if Bae was sent to another land. I could buy him becoming Peter.
I’m dying to know who August was on the phone with in that sneak peak!
I don’t think they should introduce time travel in this show. I love time travel, but it is very difficult to do well, and it would just complicate things. IMO, time travel works best when it is a story’s main convention and not just one of a bunch of magical conventions in a story.
I don’t think they should introduce time travel either. It is such an issue and will cause all kinds of problems. And if they are going to make August be either Pinocchio or Bae then they need to explain a bit more about what happened and why he knows what he knows and how he got there and not just say hey i am Bae or i am Pinocchio.
